The Bio Clean Way

I wasn't hiring this company, instead sitting at a light trying to make a right turn and I wanted to leave this feedback because it shows that he is very irresponsible and therefore I would not hire this type of person for services.

HORRIBLE JOB.  SCRATCHED HARDWOODS, STAINED WALLS WHICH HAD TO BE REPAINTED, STAINED EXPENSIVE NEW LEATHER COUCH, AND WOULD NOT COME OUT TO FIX OR RECTIFY.  OVERPRICED, POOR QUALITY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP, SLOPPY JOB AND DAMAGE....THIS IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY.

We took our rug to their facility.  We had to take it over to New Jersey because the rug came back a mess.  They did not do a very good job.  It was stained and stiff.  We will never use them again.  We took the rug down after calling them several times.  We got there and we helped them to get the rug out of the car.  They put it down and vacuumed it.  We thought it was going to be good.  We had never used them before.  It was good quality Chinese rug about 30 years old. We left the rug there.  After a week or so we called back and we could not get a hold of them.  Finally after trying numerous times we got a hold of them, scheduled an appointment with them to pick up the rug.  They were not there and so we went back again and got the rug.  There was only one particular person then at the shop.  They have more than one outlet and I think they are also in West Chester.  So we got the rug back here to the house, laid it out, and we noticed the stain.  So we vacuumed it.  But that did not help.  Then we got out our own steam cleaner and tried to remove the stain and the stiffness.  That it did not help.  So we called another cleaning company.  We have used them before and they do an excellent job.  We put the rug in our car and drove it down on Monday to the other cleaning company and left it.  We are hoping that they will work a miracle and clean the rug successfully.  It is not a cheap rug.

I found about half inch of water on the floor in the corner of my finished basement.  I called BIO-Clean to remove the water.  They charged me $1,123 for the emergency clean up and drew up a receipt.  They then told me that they would need to perform work behind the drywall in order to permanently fix the problem.  They proceeded to charge me $2500 as  a deposit to remove the drywall and begin performing what they referred to as extensive concrete work behind the wall.  They said explicitly that the remaining cost would be $2200 after the work was finished at the end of the next workday.  They said I would no longer have a water problem.  Up until this point, I did not sign a contract.  At the end of the next workday, they told me that I would then be charged an additional $4,240.00 instead of the previously stated amount of $2200.  He supported this price increase by explaining the extent of the concrete work and the amount of drywall he needed to remove.  They said they would be back the following day to remove the fans and dehumidifier.  They did not return until three days later.  My father asked them if the job was complete and they said that the problem would never be fixed until our neighbor drained their basement.  They had already guaranteed that the job would be complete and the basement would be in dry, functioning condition.  At the end of the workday, they proceeded to offer more services.  Ultimately, when they left, the walls of the foundation were wet to the touch and the problem was not permanently fixed.
