SPARROW'S MOVING SERVICES

I used Sparrow Moving service on August 9th and 10th 2012. When Bob Sparacino came out to give me an estimate he told me it would cost $1550-cash-no checks or credit cards-to move my furnishings from one house to the next. Because his name was given to me by my realtor I regrettably did not get any other estimates. I found out later that he is more expensive than bigger named movers-for example Bekins and Millenium Movers.He also wrote on the estimate that he would bring a truck and 4 men. Well, he did bring a truck but no men-only 2 young teenaged boys, the younger one not being much help at all. My husband, myself and my sister all helped which reduced his 8 hr estimate to about 5hrs. He still charged me the 8hr rate.After he left we found several boxes and other items that he forgot to put on the truck. I also found that the wall on my stairway and hallway were all scratched up-one of them so deep it needed repair.I would never recommend this mover and told my experience to my realtor so hopefully she will stop recommending him also.

They were very prompt and professional, handling the furniture carefully.  They were efficient and finished well within the estimated time frame they had given us.

They called the day before to tell us what time they would be arriving. They arrived on time. The owner of the company attends all of the moves. They started immediately and were very quick and careful. We paid by the hour. He did not mind us helping so we could have a lower rate. They didn't take many breaks with the exception of us offering them some food. Bob Sparrow is the owner of this family owned business. They came in under budget. We were very pleased overall.

Bob and his team gave us an estimate over the phone and called prior to the move to confirm the information. They arrived on time and surveyed the material to be moved and then informed us of their moving plan. They had professional equipment (tarps, appliance dollies, straps, etc.) and took excellent care of our possessions. They were great about furniture placement in the new house and even moved items several times so that we were sure we liked the arrangements.
