Dan came in on same day I called him to inspect old furnaces and prepare estimate for replacement with new ones (my house is dual zone and needs two furnaces) .  Price was better than other estimates I received for equivalent capacity, features and warranty.  Dan kept good communication after I accepted his proposal and got the equipment delivered promptly.  He and Scott arrived at the planned time and removed the old furnaces.  They were careful to put down drop cloths to catch the rust falling from the old furnace and cleaned up at the end of each day.  The new furnaces were installed over two days and the workmanship looked very good to me.  Dan tested everything including new thermostats and it has been working great for the last two weeks now.
I was very happy with the whole process and would recommend Dan and his company to friends and neighbors.

Overall, I was very pleased with the service that I got. My initial call was answered promptly and professionally, they worked with me to come up with an agreeable time for the service call, and Dan was on time to the minute. He was efficient in accomplishing the work, and left me with brochures for a new A/C and furnace, with a promise of a written estimate to arrive next week. 
The only reason that I gave a C for pricing is Mitchell's pricing is almost exactly what I have paid for this type of service in the past. I believe the price he charged me was fair, but no better than the rest of the market. There was a promotion on the web page for $20 off for mentioning the web page, and I should have done that, but I always feel odd doing that. Why not just deduct the $20 from the cost of the service for everyone? What benefit is given by mentioning the website?

Dan responded to my call the same morning, and set up an appt for a few days later. He arrived on time, and was friendly and professional. My husband and I are first-time home owners, and so I really appreciated that he took the time to give some quick but helpful tips for efficiently using our heating and cooling systems. His price wasn't the absolute lowest out there, but it was very fair. We will definitely be going back to him again in the future.

I'm very impressed with his work and will recommend him to everyone I know. Dan called 20 minutes before the scheduled time frame to let me know when he would arrive. He was very polite and professional. Never did I get the feeling that he was making the problem bigger than it actually was or that we was trying to sell me stuff that we didn't need. He found the problem and fixed it very quickly. He explained everything a way that I was able to understand it. When asking him about the installation of a humidifier, he was able to answer all my questions and give me an estimate. If we decide to install one, he will be our guy! I gave nothing negative to say about this company!

Dan Mitchell's estimate for a new A/C system and new gas furnace was the best that we received.  (We had previously utilized Dan Mitchell's services for HVAC maintenance.)  Dan communicated well regarding the timeline and specifics of remowing old systems and installing new systems.   He arrived on time for appointments, graciously and thoroughly answered a large number of questions and completed the work in the timeframe promised.   Indoor and outdoor installation sites were cleaned beautifuly by Dan at the completion of installations.   Dan is extremely professional, and we highly, highly recommend him.

We have been using Mitchell Heating to maintain our gas furnace and air conditioner for about 5 years. Dan is courteous, helpful, and neat. Previous to today's visit he has also completed repair work on the gas furnace and we felt that his quick response and the quality of his work was excellent.

Called to schedule an appointment,because the condencer motor stopped working in my central ac.Scheduled an apointment for the next afternoon.Technician showed up as scheduled,determined the fan motor was bad.Had part on truck,changed it and had ac running in about one hour.

I looked it up on the internet. I needed an air conditioner and a furnace replaced, and I got several quotes. He was very knowledgeable and very professional, and reasonably priced. He was on time and did the work. This is an extremely professional experience that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone else. Everything about it was a good experience. I highly recommend him.

He cleaned out all the goop from the condensate drain, cleaned the coils and tested the freon charge. Very happy that he could come out on such quick notice and fix the problem very efficiently. I would use Mitchell HVAC again in a heartbeat.

Good family business....my only complaint is that they use an answering service....so when they ask you to call them you can't contact them directly.Good honest people

I called Mr Mitchell and he came out within the hour to fix. it. I had called him in the past for other repairs including my heater breaking in the winter when it was really cold out. I called around 6 at night and again, he came to fix it within the hour.

I needed to setup an annual maintenance program for our new heating system, but also wanted some duct work run because my original HVAC contractor did not complete it properly. He literally told me "There's no money in it for me to do duct work, but I'll come and do the system check". Yeah, OK.

Dan is the consummate professional. His estimate process is formal, he is very meticulous about safety and being sure that all code and permits are acquired, he went and did this personally, and has come back twice to help me follow up on issues I had with a water leak in the home. (Nothing to due with the new unit which is working perfectly). I highly recommend Dan and his company.

Update - February 2016 -  I thought I'd update folks here about Dan and his services.  I've continued to work with Dan to maintain my HVAC system.  Dan provides fantastic service and has been a reliable provider for close to 9 years now.  In December 2015 Dan installed a humidifier.  As I've come to expect, Dan did a great job, took all the things I wanted into account for the install and I could not be more pleased.   I continue to reply upon Dan and would recommend him to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about this company. Dan returns calls promptly. He shows up on time for appointments and he also called us at the office 15 minutes prior to appointments so that we knew when to meet him at the house. (No waiting around all day for a technician like other companies make us do.) For this service call our (27 yo) hot water heater was leaking. Once Dan knew it was an emergency he scheduled us as quickly as possible to survey the situation. After his visit he called us back shortly to give us a quote. He recommended a well-rated water heater. (I did my homework to crosscheck his recommendation and it checked out perfectly.) The very next morning he picked up the hot water heater on the way to our house, showed up on time, and finished the installation within 2 hrs. The tank and extended warranty cost $555.00. The labor was $300.00. He was WELL WORTH the $$ considering the 48 hr rush, his promptness, the fact that he picked up the heater on the way to our house, AND took the old heater with him for disposal. DO NOT HESITATE TO HIRE THIS COMPANY!

What a pleasure this man was to work with! He worked with me on arrival time, not only was he on time, he even waited for me to get home from taking my daughter from school! He diagnosed the issue quickly, and had the part in his truck so that he was able to replace it immediately. For a minimal fee, he also offered to clean and service my 20+ year old furnace so that it might last a little longer. The house was warm by the time she got home from school.

They were very responsive when they discovered I had no heat. The technician was very nice and accommodating. We worked it out so he would call when he was 15 minutes away so I didn't have to spend the whole day waiting. Their work was great and very fast.
