The severe weather last winter caused a pad of poured concrete located outside my front door to crack. Mike broke up and removed the old concrete and poured a new pad. The job was done professionally.

The stucco was falling off of our chimney (app. 19 years old). Mike responded to my voice mail requesting a quote a few days after I left the message. Mike assessed the situation and pointed out that the stucco had been applied by the builder (Gambone) without wire mesh, and that is why it was falling off. Mike seemed very familiar with Gambone-built chimneys and said he has worked on several in the area. Mike was not able to start the job until about 3.5 months after the quote, but since this was not an emergency situation and Mike seemed to have the best understanding of the job of the vendors, we selected him. When Mike started the job, his work ethic, attention to detail, and quality were second to none. He worked from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for 4 days in 90 degree heat with little to no breaks. He also did some work on a Saturday. The wire mesh was secured quite soundly to the chimney, and Mike was meticulous in measuring/installing the counterflashing and relaying the bricks at the top of the chimney. Mike applied 2 coats of stucco to the chimney (the builder appeared to have applied just one coat). Mike did not cut corners and did not rush or short-change us in order to move on to his next job. The work looks great. Also, we have had some heavy rains since Mike worked on the top of the chimney, and the chimney and house have remained bone dry. We will definitely ask Mike to quote on any future masonry or concrete work.

Other than weather related delays and some problems with the removal of the old steps, the project went very well.

Mike was easy to deal with, knowledgeable, offered suggestions, and did quality work.
The only less than positive I would offer was that it took longer than expected, mostly weather related.
