He came out and did some repair around my house. He did painting, repaired some trim and then fixed a porch screen, He did great work overall but was pricey.

I found Mr. Hilferty to be courteous, prompt, creative and efficient. He had to deal with my building's requirements and did so efficiently. He suggested repairs that i had not thought of and turned out to be better than my ideas. He completed everything in one day. I would recommend him without qualification.

We have been using Handy Hilf for our rental home in Philly for the past 3 years. He has always been honest, reliable, and professional with our tenants. On this particular occasion, we got a call from our tenants that there was a leak coming from the exhaust fan in the downstairs powder room. I called Jim, and he was able to go check out the leak in a timely manner. He traced the leak to the upstairs tub and noticed the caulk had broken loose allowing water to flow through a gap. He scrapped out the old caulk and recaulked the base of the tub. This was just a small job, but Jim has done just about anything and everything you could think of for us. We trust his judgement on repairs and rely on him a great deal to fix any problem our tenants may have, no matter how small. We would recommend him, and have recommended him to other homeowners in the Philadelphia area.
