Elite Fireplace

Greg and team came by and gave me multiple estimates for our chimney (c. 1950s) with visible chunks of brick and mortar missing from 50+ years of wear and tear. His team decided to only caulk the J channels (for $300 - gougers), and left 6 big gaping holes untouched. Fast forward two months later, we get a leak in the ceiling caused by these holes that should have been filled back when they came by to caulk perfectly fine J channels. Lessons learned: 1) do not trust contractors to do a job right; 2) always inspect after they say "work is done"; 3) just do the job yourself.

Estimate was timely and they called and explained that if the work could be completed in less time than estimated the bill would be adjusted. The workers arrived on the date and time specified and performed all work in a professional manner taking special care to not damage anything (yard, hard scaping, window screens, etc and completed the work in 2 vs 3 days. They cleaned up the entire area of dust and debris. As promised, the invoice only reflected the 2 days vs. the 3 days in the estimate.

Amazingly well. Found a REAL HUMAN who took the time to explain to us how the unit worked (we're new to gas fire places), completed and impeccable cleaning and inspection and was a real pleasure to do business with. Elite will be our yearly inspection and service provider moving forward.

To me, no home is complete without a wood-burning fireplace. Yes, I know, the traditional wood burning fireplaces are not efficient and definitely more labor intensive as they need cleaning and annual inspections. However, there is nothing like a wood burning fireplace for the sheer ambience. The dancing of the flames, the smell of wood, the crackling sounds…soul-soothing. Alas, to my dismay, the fireplace in my home had a gas-insert put in by the previous owner. Though it was of quality, for me, it just wasn’t the same. So, I embarked on a journey to return my hearth to its original wood-burning configuration. I called every fireplace company I could find that would service my area and Elite Fireplace was the ONLY company that was willing to do the work. Every other company either tried to have me completely remove my original fireplace and replace it with masonry or didn’t think just returning the fireplace to its original condition was financially worth their time and effort. When I spoke with Gary at Elite Fireplace he dispatched his team to do a thorough inspection and, to my great pleasure, was willing to do the research necessary to return my fireplace back to its original condition thus saving me thousands of dollars in the process. Now, this was not a fast job. It took quite some time and research by Gary to order all the materials still available by the original manufacturer, custom-make those items that were no longer available, and then complete the install. Remember, you want your fireplace to work and be safe to operate. Well, thanks to Elite Fireplace, I now have a beautiful, functioning, and safe, wood burning fireplace. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will be using them for my annual inspections for as long as I live in this home.

Great. Clean install and explained everything as it was being done. Exhaust vent pipe was rebuilt to eliminate needless turns and allow unit to run more efficiently. They did a wonderful job.

First let me say, I contacted another chimney company on Angie's List first, who ended up refunding me for the chase cover they installed...long story. THAT being said, I called Gary at Elite Fireplace afterwards, as I didn't trust the work of the previous company. Gary came out, inspected the chase cover and spoke with me about about specifics of the situation and concluded that I did not need another new one...all free of charge. I found it refreshing that Elite Fireplace didn't try to take me for a run by telling me I needed something fixed when I didn't. (Considering how so many companies would do that, I've found, even on Angie's List) Gary also said my flashing may fail at some point, but it was years down the road and it would be a waste for me to have him replace it since I plan on getting my roof done soon. I will ABSOLUTELY be calling Gary when I DO need something done with my chimney. And I'll be sure to tell my neighbors as well about this company and their professionalism and honesty. Thanks Gary, I appreciate your help.

These guys have been great to work with.  From Gary (office/estimating) to the workmen on site we couldn't be happier.  Friendly, personable, knowledgeable.  Kept work areas clean while working, cleaned up every day before they left.  Did the work they said they would do.

They were good. They may have had a special and I used that. I ended up getting the entire thing done. We were pleased with what he did.

Punctual, was done in a couple of hours

it went well. The new flue was installed. they sealed my other two flue openings that were no longer in use. The guy also pointed out that he noticed a piece on my heater that needed to be installed before it broke. This piece releases the air in the radiators. I called my heating company and the piece was replace. Very nice guys. The did a great job. They also installed the cap on the chimney.

Very well. Gary and his team came up with an innovative and affordable way to replace the flu in our fireplace without damaging the chimney or surrounding areas. The crew from Elite were professionals and experts in their field. In addition we had them reinspect our fireplaces and felt confident in the assessment. Definitely consider hiring them for any repairs that you may have.

It was very good. They had another add-on that I took. I paid $230 more. They were very professional, very clean, very neat and explained everything to me. We had three other quotes and they were much, much lower. If I had another house, I would use them in the future.
