lousy job and had to have them come back.  Then they did not show up, they did not answer the phone and had to chase them around.  He said his wife was ill and that he was going out of the business.  Left me hanging.

Dan Toth mowed my lawn a few times in the spring and summer of 2010 and did a fine job however when he started having his brother mow the lawn for me, the work was sloppy and inadequate.  I informed Dan of this and he stated other customers had said the same thing and would talk to his brother about it and when his brother did the lawn for me again the job was better.  However, when it came time for leaf removal in the fall, Dan stated he was no longer in the lawn business and had given his brother the lawn business and stated his brother, being the new owner, would do a fine job.  His brother came to do leaf removal on a Saturday in October but did not finish the job, stated he was tired and would come back the next day to complete the job.  Unfortunately, I let him know I would be home.  He stated that since he would be coming Sunday to finish the job, if I could pay him.  Against my better judgement, I paid him because he seemed sincere.  Big mistake!  He never showed up.  I called him many times and left messages but he never returned my calls.  Needless to say, I never got my money back for the leaf removal.  Lesson learned: no matter how sincere and honest one seems, follow your better judgement and do not pay before work is completed.
