It went smoothly, Steve and his team did a phenomenal job accommodating my time table and getting the work done to my satisfaction. My landscaping was well protected and they did a thorough job cleaning up afterwards, I couldn't find a single staple anywhere. I would highly recommend this company for your roofing needs at a competitive price.

Russ and his assistant showed up as promised on Saturday morning. Did a very thorough job cleaning the gutters and assessed a problem with one of the downspouts. Asked Russ for an itemized quote on additional work needed. This was my first experience using Modern Exteriors, but Russ seems to be very thorough and attentive. Most of all he showed up as promised.

Great!  Used Modern Exteriors a couple of years ago to repair a couple of roof vents.  Called Russ again, he came out looked at the job told me when he could do the job.  He came out did the job in quick time.  This is a straight up honest individual that does not waste time, does not leave a mess.  Gets the job done at a fair price with quality work.

Russ showed up on time and was polite in addressing all the questions about the work.  Within a week he provided a very good estimate with breakdown of all the planned work, and delivered samples for consideration.  We made some adjustments to the work, and after the materials arrived he and a co-worker began their work. 
They removed existing cedar siding, added foam insulation, wrap, drainage mat, and installed Hardie board siding.  He was attentive to proper priming of all the cut edges to prevent moisture wicking.  Things were laid up evenly when done.   Some of the caulking needed more attention after the first time, but he was more than willing to address any touch ups I noted.  
He also nicely capped all of the wood trim around the entire house included some very long rake boards.  We were very happy with all the siding portion.  They did seem to work short days so if you're in a hurry you may want to tell them of your urgency.   I'm not sure I would recommend them for stucco, we had some portion converted from siding to stucco, and when he left there was a distinct demarcation between two parts.  He came back to correct later. The texture of the stucco is different on that part vs. the rest of the house too.  I'm sure there is some technique which could be difficult that I don't appreciate.   The stucco and the added caulking I needed to point out are the only reason I gave a B for quality.  It would probably be fine if it weren't adjoining another area of stucco.  All the other trim work and capping was well executed.  We would use him again for any siding and trim work.

Russ has been out to my house before for a gutter cleaning.  I was attracted to his prices and his politeness over the phone.  Turns out, he was great to deal with--and he was very tidy, so when it came time for more roof work, he was my first call.  He listened to my punchlist and was very understanding of my timetable.  He went the extra mile to work me in and the work was all performed with the same kind of tidiness and quality that I'd seen before.  I'd recommend him to anyone in his service area.

Returned call that evening. Scheduled for that week. Arrived with two helpers. Worked quickly and avoided damage to plantings around house. Answered questions and was very pleasant.

It was a good experience.

The caulking was meant to be temporary.  Russ Arcaro was going to order a replacement gutter corner, but he never did.  He called a month or two later and left a message saying he was very busy and would call me when the part came in.  It's now 2 years later!!

Russ was friendly, personable, and didn't act like a salesman trying to pressure or up-sell me. It worked out that Russ did the job while my wife and I were away on vacation. We returned to find the new gutters and downspouts to be sturdy and look good. The yards were clean and their was no indication of work having been done (e.g. a sloppy looking yard). I definitely recommend Russ!

I received several estimates from non Angie's list contractors and were not satisfied with the product they offered.  I joined Angie's list and contacted several additional contractors for estimates.  I decided on Custom Exteriors.
This contractor was exceptional.  The owner Russ was extremely thorough beginning with the estimate through the job completion.  The contract was very competitive with other estimates.  Russ distinguished himself by providing options and recommendations that did not require significant price upgrades.   His workmanship and professionalism were extraordinary.
My home is approximately 100 years old and required a significant amount of custom crafted work.  This job was not your typical plug and play type installation.  The three entry's included curved eves that had to be hand molded and customized.  Russ had to transition the natural stone facade with the dutch lap wood vinyl over-lay.  Russ replaced 6 attic windows.  He aluminum capped all new windows, 12 existing windows and 3 exterior doors.  He repaired any damaged wood and added insulation where necessary.  Russ replaced the rain down spouts and added leaf guards.  Additionally, Russ made minor repairs to the roof, bathroom vent and rain downspouts that were in need of repair.  He did not include a charge for repairing these items. 
I have a degree in mechanical engineering and hold an engineering title.  My education and experience provides a little knowledge on acceptable home repair practices.  I am a stickler for detail.  I have never previously met Russ or contracted with Customer Exteriors.  This is the best contractor I have ever used top to bottom.  This is also my first time using Angie's List.  I highly recommend this contractor due to price, quality and integrity.  I am also believer in Angie's List.

Russ had previously put coverings on guttters and did a good job.  So I hired him to do the repairs mentioned again.  He and his crew showed up on time, worked neatly, completed all the items on my list, and we are very happy with the results.  His estimate was considerably lower than those of several other contractors, and the final price he charged me was $3 LESS than his estimate.  Russ is very practical and easy to deal with.

Great service at a reasonable price. What more can I ask for?

Russ returned my initial call the same day and scheduled appointment to view the problem.  Came out the next afternoon and looked at problem and gave me an estimate.  Called two other providers, 1 took 2 days to return my call and the other never did return my call. 
Called Russ back and scheduled day for the job.  He arrived and completed the work, while there he looked other vent and found the same problem and took care of that one.  I should have asked him to look at that one when he first came out. 
Great guy, gets the job done at a reasonable price.  He is now my roof guy, will call him whenever I have problems in the future or need a new roof.

See above - what did the provider do.

Their response was immediate, as usual and work performed was excellent.  I was shocked at the low price of the services provided.  We also requested a quotation for new gutters, as ours are twenty years old and just can't take the volume of recent storms.

It went well.  This was the second time we used them and Russ was great both times.  Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and use them in the future.

-Russ is simply one of the best workmen we have ever dealt with.   We have used him over and over for all our home repair needs. (roofing, windows, doors, gutters, etc.)  Whatever job he is given he does with perfection and his prices are much more reasonable  than anyone else.  Sometimes we have to wait several days because people know he's the best in the business and he is very  busy.  However, he is definitely worth waiting for since he knows what he's doing and  he works quickly and well.  I thank Angie's List for originally put us in contact with him.

He was professional and courteous.   I would highly recommend him.

The price he quoted(and I paid)  was less than half of another quote I got! He worked quickly and communicated well with me. I'd definitely call him again!
