They never completed the job. The original quote was for $35,000, but I'd ended up paying them $47,000 for a job that they'd never completed. The work that was completed was determined to be extremely poor by some other builders that came out to look at it.
They didn't finish the work and made a mess in another part of the house. I asked them to clean up the mess and fix some shelving that was done incorrectly. I tried showing him, but he argued with me. He took windows from me that he didn't have permission to take. He was nasty and yelling at me. I finally asked him to leave.
I took him to small-claims court and he was ordered to complete the job. All I wanted was an apology, but he wouldn't do it, so I decided I didn't want him back.
The company also goes by Ecobuilt Efficient Buildings and Heartwork LLC.
