Originally Dominick had given us a quote for my porch to be remodeled since he discovered a huge black mold problem. He then convinced us to add on a deck which we agreed to and had given him the difference to make half of the deposit. He's very unprofessional, had workers on the job who weren't qualified to do the job. He also charged us for bob cat costs and for an outside company to remove our window glass professionally. which he ended up doing all himself and nearly broke my glass windows trying to remove them. In the middle of the project my husband fell ill and I explained to him I might not be home as much as before since I am a stay home mom of 3 and that we would have to work on scheduled times to meet if it's anything to do with the project. He then requested I give him more money because he didn't believe I was going to pay him after giving him 6,000 in cash the same day he was hired. He then yelled at me on my property on my birthday in front of my neighbors while I was on the way to take my husband to the hospital. Long story short he left me with not even half of the job done and I'm now in the middle of filing a small claims suit against him . smh. It was a total nightmare. On the bright side (sarcasm) I cannot leave my home because he left it boarded up, anyone can come in and steal from home. He stole materials I paid for and even tried to salvage some of the mold materials to reuse them. He tried to cut so many corners you won't believe. He even had workers without tools on the job and they had to borrow my husband's. What a nightmare. We moved to West Chester from NY almost two years now and it has been devastating trying to remodel our new home. I hate no one but he has no idea what he has done to my home or family, finances among other things. There's so much more to the story but your eye would burn trying to read it all. Just don't hire him! P.S. He left cement droppings all over my yard. He tried to hide it towards the back after leaving some on the side of my home, but my kids found it yesterday while playing in the backyard. If he comes to your home, trust no matter how good the price sounds, don't hire him.
Description of Work: What he was supposed to do was redo our sunroom and add on a deck addition. What he actually did was leave the job half undone, stole materials and yelled at me on my birthday on my own property, stole 6,000 dollars and ran with it because he took for granted my husband fell ill during the project and didn't think I would pay him the rest.

We are very pleased with Valentino Custom Carpentry. On both jobs, Dominick was professional, receptive to our wishes and changes that we made along the way, and his quality was excellent. We have gotten many compliments on the tile work he did in both our old house and our new home. His prices were very competitive compared to the (many) other estimates we got for the same jobs. In our new house, we ran into some unforeseen problems once the walls were opened up, and Dominick handled the extra repairs quickly and gave us a good price on the additional work. Overall, we have been really happy with Valentino Custom and I have already recommended them to friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: We have used Valentino Custom Carpentry for two large jobs. In our old house in the beginning of 2013, Dominick and his team gutted and remodeled two bathrooms (tore the walls down to the studs, installed new drywall, ceramic tile wills, marble floors, new plumbing lighting etc) . We moved this year and were happy with the previous work and pricing, so we used Dominick as the general contractor to remodel our entire house. Our new house was built in the 1970's and we bought from the original owners, who had never updated anything. Dominick and his guys remodeled everything - installed new drywall throughout almost the entire house; ripped up old carpet and floor and installed new hardwood; gutted bathrooms and laid new ceramic tile and slate, plumbing etc; completely finished the full basement; and updated and repaired electrical, plumbing, structural, and aesthetic issues throughout the house.
