Hi my name is sumit, Iam a Master Electrican. I specialize in old house and new contstrution wiring. My prices beat all big companies because Iam one owner operated company. I do it all big or small. Extremely disappointed in the work done by RS Bright Light at my home in June of 2024 for three reasons: 1) While installing recessed lights in my den they totally trashed the room. My laptop, desk, printer, couch, TV cabinet, TV, remaining furniture and floor where completely covered in ceiling drywall pieces and dust. Totally unacceptable that they did not take 10 minutes up front to cover the space in disposable plastic sheeting that cost less than $10 at Home Depot. It took me three hours to clean up the mess they made. We have been in our house for 24 years and used many contractors over the years. Never once have we had a contractor have such total disrespect for our personal property until RS Bright Light came along. As a side note had to hire a drywall specialist after their work to fix the ceiling drywall. 2) They installed a light switch the wrong way round. I asked them to fix on the day of the work but it did not get fixed. Then on three separate occasions they agreed to come back to fix and never showed up. Had to hire another electrician to come fix. 3) On the day of the project they were late and rushed. Ended up showing up three hours late. I had to initiate communication on where were they. Once they were here they rushed the work and thus part of the reason for items 1 & 2 above. The owner seems to think RS Bright Light can do no wrong but in our case it was a poor experience and I will never hire them again.

Fast and professional. Called on a Friday and they came on Monday morning. Fixed it very quickly. Great communication. Explained what we did wrong. No problems since.

This was a very disappointing experience. We needed small electrical jobs done around the house - handing chandeliers, installing outlet, troubleshooting broken lights. The electrician that showed up was very "forceful" saying that he was the best and we wouldn't find any better prices. He actually started working on one job (troubleshooting broken lights) before I even gave the approval. He said he could hang the chandeliers that same day. I spoke with my wife and we went ahead with this electrician. He came back about 2 hours later and did not have the right ladder for one of the jobs. He started working on one chandelier and he hung it too high. I told him that I didn't want it that hight from the start. He was visibly irritated that I called him out on it. He ended up charging me double to redo the job, even after he did it wrong the first time. He significantly changed the estimate after the job. We decided not to have him come back for the other jobs that needed to be completed and went with a much better and less expensive electrician. I do not recommend RS Bright Light - this seemed more of a scam than a legitimate electrician service.

Job description- replace chandelier and troubleshoot deck light-“not working since we bought the house” Originall price —chandelier-$275.00 Troubleshooting-1st hour—$100 and thereafter $60 an hour Total for both jobs $375.00 Sir I have been doing this for long time and every electrician in this world would ask there customer how high or low they would like there chandelier to be. You told me certain height and we went with what you told me and your wife was very pleased with that too but after everything was done your wife was happy but if you remember for some reason you didn’t like it and we ended up removing the chandelier and chose different height and did the whole work again. And if you remember you made me do that 3 times And you felt sorry and told me that I will take care of with more money.””””””” And about the wrong ladder—-sir your ceiling was 30-40ft high, you asked me if it is possible to get up there and I told you I will try my best with longest ladder possible—but unfortunately it didn’t work out I couldn’t reach it—IF you remember I gave it my best so that you didn’t have to hire a scaffolding company “ I was trying to save your money and your throwing me under the bus”””” very nice of you thank you. So I spent extra 2-3 hours playing around with chandelier until he liked it ——- The original total was $375.00 and he gave me $125.00 extra and told me I did very good job!!!!! I call him next day and the customer says that he shouldn’t have paid me $500 and told me I took too much money from him because he found someone cheaper then me next day. I was very disappointed at him because all my pricing is upfront I don’t play around.. and sir by the way if you want your $125.00 extra back please call me I will gladly pay you back but please don’t put false information about someone’s work it’s not good thank you"
