He doesn't do emissions for my car because my car has very low mileage on it. If you drive less than 3,000 miles a year the law says that emissions testing is not necessary. So he doesn't do emissions and that's why the price is so low. One time he did a tire repair for me.

I have used them for about 15 years. They have great customer service and the pricing is always fair.

After the mechanic that I had been using for the past 15 years retired, I was left with the task of trying to find another honest mechanic for my 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. I happened to be on an online forum and several people mentioned how they have been using Chris Hunter for years and have been very happy with him so I decided to try him to get my inspection done. Although I get gas there all the time, I never used his mechanic service before.
.
The car that Chris inspected for me is not driven that much (It is 7 yrs old and only has 35k miles on it.) so quite often in the past, it didn't need anything for it to pass inspection. I knew my car was in need of tires all around as they were visibly worn on the outside of the tires so I purchased tires online from Tires Etc and had Chris mount and balance my tires. My brake light had also burnt out several months ago so I knew I'd need it replaced but that's about all my car needed to pass inspection. Chris didn't try to tell me I needed new brakes or expensive repairs to pass inspection.... I found him to be as honest and reputable as others had described. I requested the other work I had done such as an oil change and filter changes.
.
Although you may be able to find "discount" Inspection/Emissions someplace else; I've found from experience that these places tend to bait you in with lower charges for state inspection, then hit you with a bunch of unnecessary repairs that your car "needs" in order to pass inspection.
.
Chris is up front about everything and I'll be returning to him next year for inspection and for any repairs that I need in the future.
