The work was performed very well, the time taken to get the trim right was just as impressive as the finished look. While Pat laid out the overall work, Denny provided the skill to install all the architural detailld. The number of times he would trial fit a piece was impressive. The finished work even more so. These two individuals are unbeliveably good at what they do, however there helpfullness goes well beyond the work that they contracted to be performed. One snowy day, Denny knowing that we should not be shoveling snow, shoveled the stairs from the house to our cars. he did not bother to ask, he just did it. This attitude is reflected in their work, if they see something needs to be adjusted because they are working in a century old house they will either just make it look right or if it involves significant expenses call us to get our approval. I mentioned the attic folding stairway door. The finished door now fits nicely and looks like part of the room. While they may have been reluctant to take on task the finished project was beautifully executed and finished project looks great. We have absolutly no reason to complain about the work that they have done for us and in fact have requested them to finish some work in the 25 year old addition. Because of the nature of this work, it was performed on a time and material basis. We generally specified the wood trim to be used. They provided a estimate of labor costs, which was resonably close to the final amount.
Description of Work: Interior Designs by Pat Mahony is a run by Pat who takes the clients ideas and turns them into a beutiful finished project. In our century old farm house the living room, hallway and two bedrooms had never been finished. The work involved the installation of flooring in one bedroom, finishing the face of a built in bookcase, covering a room divider that did not match the rest of the room and installing ornamental crown molding in all the rooms. In the one bedroom we have a folding staircase to the attic. The ceiling in that room was beaded tongue and grove boards. The stairway cover was plywood. We asked that if be trimed out using the beaded tongue and grove boards. There was a slight reluctance to agree to attempt it, as the door was warped and did not fit properly.
