Gave all the information over the phone concerning replacing water heater. Appointment scheduled was easy and arrived on time the day of install. Great all around service.

This is the second time I've used John, and both times he was professional, customer-focused, and on-time. He came when he said he would be there, he on charged us $95 for the house call and parts, and he recommended some additional repairs that could wait until the new year, instead of forcing us to do them now. If you're looking for a go-to hot water tank professional, he should be at the top of your list. He's got a customer for life in me.

On 11/07/16 I called Dr. Waterheater that I had a small water leak around the hex nut atop the waterheater. A service person was schedule to come 11/09/16 around noon. John the service person arrived at noon and evaluated the leak. The gas hot water heather was greater than fifteen years old, number of years that I have been in the house and a 1993 manufacturing date per the service person reading the tag on the tank. I bought a 50 gallon replacement tank, which was the same capacity as the old tank. The new tank was installed 11/14/2016. John the service person is definitely a master specialist at installing hot water heaters. Every step of the installation was a wonder to watch. Very satisfied. A senior discount was given.

I normally don't write many reviews however I can say with confidence that John is someone I have trusted since I lived in my first home back in 1993. He has been my serviceman for issues involving my hot water heaters as well as installing a water pressure regulator in my last house. I've also recommended him to family and friends with no complaints.  In this particular circumstance, I noticed my water was not staying hot yesterday (8/12) and called leaving a voice message explaining my situation.  He returned my call that evening and was able to come look at my old hot water heater today (8/13).  The tank was over 10 years old and he knew much about the brand and history regarding that particular water heater.  He clearly explained why a new tank was needed and helped me decide what would be the best size tank for my home. He was able to run out to get the materials and had the new hot water heater installed and running in a few hours.  I can't say enough about this company and would recommend him to anyone!  For the quickest response, please phone him vs. email.

After having gotten three quotes for a new hot water heater I can honestly say that John Relihan is good, honest, and wonderful person.  We wanted to do some remodeling to our kitchen and remove a wall.  The problem was that the furnace and hot water tank exhausts went up through that wall.  The necessitated us getting a new furnace and hot water tank that vented out the side of the basement wall.  I got estimates from three hot water tank installers.  John's prices were the same as Mr. Waterheater (who wanted $79 to come and give us an estimate) and 1/2 the price of another installer.  When I first called him he came out the very next day and did not charge us for the estimate.  He called me that day to keep me informed of what time he would be coming.   He was very friendly, informative, and answered all my questions.  After getting the other estimates I found him to more forthcoming with information rather than me having to know exactly what questions to ask.  He also gave us multiple options so that we could research and decide what woudl work best for us.  He works often with Knoechel Heating Co. who did our furnace and as a team everything went very smoothly.  John also coordinated with the Knoechel installers so that we could get everything done in two days.  John came the day after the furnace was installed promptly at 9:00 AM.  He put down cardboard in our foyer to keep things clean.  He had a great electric dolly that allowed him alone to move a huge hot water tank into our house and down our basement steps with no damage to flooring or walls.  He also did a great job of wiring a new outlet for the power vent on the hot water tank.  He also installed the venting pipes wonderfully by readily taking  input from my husband so that they are hardly noticeable (our basement is unfinished presently).  He was done before the day was out, went over everything with us, and cleaned up wonderfully.  I highly recommend this man not only for his talent but also his friendly personality and his high commitment to doing the best job possible.

It's just a single person, and it's not a corporation or anything. He's such a nice guy and honest. He didn't walk in and say that we needed a new water heater, and it would cost us a $1000. He just really tries to help people and he's very concerned about their condition. He's very nice. I just like that he's honest and very fairly priced. He really tries to get there as soon as he possibly can to help people out. We've used him quite a few times and will use him again in the future. If he's not going to be there when he says he's going to be, he calls.

Excellent service from the initial phone call to the final instructions and review of the new tank. It's a real pleasure finding smaller companies who you can TRUST in your home and don't give you the and quot;sales 101 talkand quot; from the moment you make contact. John stopped by last week to see if a cheaper, quick fix might be possible. We agreed that the best fix would be a replacement, and scheduled the job for the following Wednesday. John and his son showed up on time and did a first class job. While it seems most contractors try to up sell and do the add-on game, John actually brought the job in for less than the quoted price. He did more work than we had agreed on, but still saved me money.
If you enjoy dealing with a man who has strong ethical values, and is a good family man, then John is your guy. He brought his teenage son to help, and both are a joy to be around. There was nothing about this duo and their work that I didn't enjoy.
Do call Dr Water Heater, and don't worry about a thing!

Great! John is wonderful to work with. I called him on 5/8 and his schedule was full for the day. He told me he would be over to fix the problem on 5/9. Later in the day of 5/8, he called and said he had some extra time and would be willing to come then. He is very professional, helpful and concerned about the customer.
