Junction told me about their pricing on the phone: $65 to come out and $50 for the second and each additional hour. No additional cost for the fact that it was an emergency call. The repairman found that the problem was a faulty pressure switch. He explained that the switch was an optional component that shuts the system down in case of certain problems. He suggested simply removing the switch from the circuit as it wasn't vital for operation so long as we weren't constantly resetting the thermostat. I appreciated the honesty. If he had told me the entire system needed replacing, I wouldn't have known any better. One of the better experiences I've had with a contractor since moving to the Pittsburgh area.
