HAWKINS PRECAST CONCRETE PROD

He was in a big hurry to get the contract signed and part of the money. Then he took about 2 weeks to begin bringing the product to our location. He brought a piece of machinery that was too large for the space he had to work in and ended up doing damage to our building, downspouts, drains (part of another project being worked on - not by this contractor), windows, and even cut the main electric to our house which caused the transformer to burn up and eliminate power to 2 neighbors. When he finally finished the wall it looks like there are 2 different colored stone and there were chips in several of the corners and it needed straightened up. We didn't pay him the full balance remaining due to the fact that the damages cost a total of approximately $12000 which we may have to fight with our insurance company and the power company. We asked him for insurance information and he said he had it and then said he didn't have it for this type of damage. All in all, it took about 4 weeks for this contractor to build a heavy duty retaining wall that consists of 10 blocks of concrete (each weighing about 4000 pounds) and 5 caps. The work was done by Mr. Hawkins and his 92 year old father and 2 day with a younger man.
