Because Gene was swamped with responses to his Angie's List deal offer, it took a while to get scheduled. Gene stopped the week before doing the job to determine what needed to be done when he came to do the work. He asked that I be present.
Gene checked with me throughout the process to be sure he was making cuts that I was satisfied with. He and his worker cleaned up as they went. They even went so far as to rake some leaves around the smaller trees that hadn't been raked yet.
He and his employee were attentive to detail, personable and easy to work with. He made it clear that each customer has their own preferences and he wanted to do the job to my specifications.
I will be calling him in the spring to check three other trees that have some disease issues.

I have a feeling that they're a small family business that just wasn't prepared for the number of people taking advantage of the Big Deal. Give them a chance, I think you'll be happy you did.
He and his crew did an outstanding job! They worked all day, and smoothed out the dirt once they dug out the bushes. They are prompt, and Gene got back to me the same day that I called him. He is very accommodating, and an extremely hard worker. He takes pride in his work. In fact, my father-in-law is hiring him to take down one of his trees!
