 + -1 moreThe extra re-bar added cost to the job, but he did not pass the extra cost on to me. I paid exactly the amount of the original quote. They were great. One of their workers was even a Pirates prospect!They worked hard even though it was extremely hot. Nobody stopped, even when I took out some lemonade. The cement looks gorgeous, and it's holding up well.
Description of Work: I picked this company of 9 bids, and I chose him because I was confident in his knowledge. When it came time for the job, he performed. I hired them to pour a new parking pad, doubling the size of the old one, and the ground beneath the existing one turned out to be softer than expected. They had to regrade the area anyway, and he suggested fiber cement because it holds up better, it reinforces all the way up and lasts longer than regular cement. He suggested using re-bar with the fiber cement in one area where the ground wasn't as solid to ensure reinforcement. This would add considerable cost to the job, and he estimated an extra 100 dollars.
