This guy installed a boiler , after that I had multiple problems with water leaks from pipes, i did not have heat on my first floor. The boiler was not appropriately installed which put my household in danger and gas consumption is huge now , my gas bill is more than before. He lied to me about his certification by Navien boiler company. He did not get city permit for boiler installation. He used wrong pipes and the pipe system needs to be redone. He does not have any permits to work as a plumber in Rhode island. Be careful with him. He refused to come to fix his mistake he just dissapered.

He will RIP you off! Look on Google, hes out of quincy ma. Has multiple charges on him. Will do the job wrong or not at all. He is dangerous, will likely end up in jail.

Mike Hughes saved our perfectly good steam boiler, was completely professional, prompt, and very skilled. The price was reasonable and the system is as good as ever it was. It makes the entire house toasty in winter in about 15 minutes. We figure it's now good for another 50 years.

Mike diagnosed the problem, which has been going on for years, getting worse and worse. He totally fixed it and I have not had a moment of water in the basement after that. Several other basement waterproofers looked at the situation, but hadn't a clue what was wrong.

Mr Hughes arrived at my home well ahead of the time he said he would be here.Very professinal. Iam very pleased with the job. I would definitely call on Mr Hughes again, if needed.

After turning off the pipe to our outside faucet for the winter, we discovered when we turned it back on in the spring that the outside faucet no longer worked. We had to turn the water on and off from the main basement pipe. Mike came out on a Sunday afternoon to check out the faucet with another worker. He figured out the issue quickly, replaced the broken faucet, and explained to me how to keep it from happening again. The whole thing took about 10 minutes! He was great - would highly recommend.

Our pipes were all backing up in the whole house and Mike was one of the plumbers who came out to take a look and give us an estimate. The 3 other companies spent little time and all said that we would have to replace the street trap, costing in the ballpark of $3000. Mike spent more time with us actually looking at what was going on with our plumbing and recommended that we let him try to clear it before going in for the big ticket item of replacing the trap. Low and behold, he cleared the trap and our plumbing has worked perfectly ever since! Mike had a lot of great advice for us and clearly works with integrity and honesty, something you don't always find in a contractor. We do have some large plumbing projects in the future and will definitely be calling Mike when the time comes for those!

He comes as soon as possible. He is usually there the next day. I only call him on an emergency basis and he comes. He seems to have all these instruments to read, that look underground without taking things out. He stays until I get the problem fixed. It’s not like kiddo mess. He's got the machinery. He finds the blockages and he accomplishes his purpose, which is usually pretty serious because we use that drain in the shower. And when that packs up we know that something is horribly wrong. I would definitely use his service again, but I hope I don't need it.

It's every homeowner's nightmare - a house full of visitors and a cellar full of sewage over the holidays. My regular plumber gave me the name of Michael A. Hughes, who I called on a Sunday night. He came out the next day and went to work on a blockage that was 50 feet into the major drain from the house. He needed to investigate a tricky problem, then he identified the problem area underground and used a long machine to break up the blockage. He was very knowledgeable and genial, explained everything, and from our conversation I realized that he knew about much more than drains - but also does general plumbing and heating and air conditioning installations. If my long-term regular plumber ever retires, we will call on Michael A. Hughes to replace him.
