I am a owner/operator of my own business. i have been in business for myself since 2000. I have been in construction field for over 30 years. I do use subcontractors and do check their backgrounds.
It was a pleasure to work with Picchi Custom Remodeling. The project involved totally remodeling the master bath, building a family room in the unfinished basement, and installing a bath in the basement. My wife and I took about two months to refine our requirements after first talking to the contractors. I requested estimates from three contractors. One estimate was way high and Tony?s estimate was about the same as the third. I chose Tony Picchi because he understood the whole project and was very responsive, returning his initial and final estimates promptly, within a week. The other contractors took more than a month. Tony and his associate completed the whole project - demolition, framing, electrical, plumbing, dry wall, painting, wood floor, and tile floor and walls. He completed the project on time and on budget. Tony estimated the whole project would take about six weeks. In the end it took six weeks four days. They came to work very day, less about two medical days. We specified bathroom fixtures from Thomas Somerville in Camp Hill, and tile, wood floor, and paint from A&A Decorative Design in Shippensburg. Tony advised us when our selections cost more than his estimate allowances and tried to find alternate sources for our choices. In the end my wife and I decided that our choices were worth the extra cost. Tony handled the details of ordering, picking up and coordinating delivery with all suppliers. When there were problems with an order he immediately worked out the solution. In the end there was only one towel rack that was backordered and Tony followed through to install it two weeks after the rest was complete. He didn?t deliver the final bill until he completed all work including the backordered towel rack. I highly recommend Picchi Custom Remodeling.

Stud walls: i already had some walls already installed by myself but they ended up relocating some walls so drywall would go up easier and improved the layout for better lighting. Some walls were used. They also built boxes around any ductwork that could not relocated. Electric: the panels were in the garage so they had to cut a part of the wall out to run the electric to the basement. The whole basement was previously on 1 circuit which popped all the time. They installed 5 new breakers for the basement so i would have plenty to power. They even ran a specific breaker for the wall where theater equipment would be installed. They ran me a 220 for a later to be installed hot tub (dont ask...wife said it is a must). 12 lights with some on dimmer switch. Many many outlets were installed (again per wife demands). Electric and hook up for baseboard heaters (3). Drywall: complete drywall with mud and sanding. It is all paint ready now. They even put in access panels for anything that looked like i would need to get to later. Sewer clean out, water controls, etc... Replaced the drywall they had to cut away in the garage to run electric. Doors: installed 7 doors including framing. Did not install door knobs. But wife is particular about hardware. Extras: installed water for wet bar. Also included installation of a pump that is now connected to the main sewer line. Comments: they cleaned up everyday. Showed up ontime and left at a consistent time.. Were even respectfull when the misses repeatedly asked for changes. (Note to other households doing basement remodelling... Keep wifeys out of the basement until done... If not.. They WILL change things no matter how much they pinterist the already approved design). I have pets so they were pet friendly except they would not take my cat home with them even though i offered to increase the cost of the basement remodel. :-(

(1) Mr. Picchi did an outstanding job resulting in 'no problems' with the front. He had to completely remove the door put in new wood to replace the old, rotten wood the previous contractor recycled. (2) The sliding door allowed water to degrade the surrounding sub-flooring. Mr. Picchi replaced the sub-flooring and completed an 'eye-pleasing' installation. A great job.
Description of Work: (1) Re-installed a new front door that another contractor completed incorrectly. (2) Installed a french door to a patio as a replacement to a sliding door.
