Comfortable Home Services

After waking up on a Saturday morning with no heat, I call 3 separate heating places before I was able to find someone who was willing to look at our furnace on the weekend.  A real person answered the phone and not a machine, they asked detailed questions and said some one would be out in a few hours.  Less then an hour later, a CHS truck was pulling into my drive.  The owner of CHS personally came to our home to do the repairs.  He was very knowledgeable and gave us several options on how to fix our heating problem.  He determined that what we really need was to replace our 33 year old oil furnace. But because we don't have that kind of money right now and because we needed heat today he was able to just clean some parts and replace the oil filter (aka basic maintenance) and get it temporally working.  Best part is that he gave us a price break on the service.  After wards he gave me a VERY detailed invoice along with a "high end" estimate for a new furnace.  In other words he told us that the estimate would be the maximum it would cost to replace but most likely that is would be less then that. He explained the difference between getting a new oil furnace and getting an electric one. He explained in detail exactly what needs to be done to replace the furnace. Over all he was very professional and I would gladly recommend him to anyone. I'm looking forward to working with him again when we have the new furnace installed.

Our new home has 3 stories and we were finding it just too cold to use our finished basement, if we ran the air conditioner at a level to keep the 2nd floor cool.  I called a few Heating & Cooling companies in the area requesting someone come to my home to give me a quote on installing a 2nd cooling unit, as we thought that would solve the issue with all three floors not maintaining a relatively consistent temperature.  After calling 4 companies, I found Comfortable Home Services on Angie's List so I gave them a call.  Marcel answered my call.  He could have easily said he'd come out and give me a quote, however he was the first person to say to me that he'd like to come out first to see if there is something wrong with our current cooling system, as he didn't think a 2nd unit was necessary since our home is so new.  We set an appt a few days out from when I placed the call.  Marcel arrived on time.  He found the issue within a few minutes and was able to temporarily resolve the problem.  I am scheduling a follow up with appointment with Marcel to install a permanent solution.  My husband and I were extremely satisfied with Marcel's service.  We already referred Comfortable Home Services to our neighbor whose cooling unit went out during the 100 degree heat wave.  I am happy to have found a reliable Heating & AC company in the area!
