The worker, Chris, arrived promptly. He assessed the situation quickly and determined that the valve leading to my irrigation system (located in my basement) was bad. He said he could repair it while he was there as he had a new valve available in his truck. He was polite and friendly, removing his shoes to enter my home.
I asked how much it would be and he could not give me a firm answer, but it would be $65/hr and the price of the valve. It sounded reasonable, so I told him to go ahead. He said he would have to turn off the main house water while the repair was being done, so I showed him where it was. He took about two hours or so with the repair.
I do wish I could have gotten a more firm estimate prior to the work being done as the $196 was a little higher than I thought it would be, but certainly not outrageous and I understand they don't know how long things will actually take.
The repair came out fine and the leak stopped, so I am very pleased with the competency and professionalism of Lingo. Overall I am very happy with them and would definitely use them again and recommend.
