WITT TREE SERVICE

We had used Witt's services a few years ago to remove a line of very tall spruce trees. They did a fantastic job at that time, so we contacted them again for what was a much smaller job. To be certain we were doing the right thing, we contacted another tree service as well to compare estimates. Witt's estimate was considerably lower and they did not disappoint us. They arrived on our property at the time they quoted and began grinding the stump. The stump was gone quickly, as well as the root system, enabling the new tree to have root room. The arborist on site directed the planting just as the nursery that sold us the tree suggested it be done. They completed the job quickly and efficiently and made sure that the entire area was neat, clean and in perfect condition before they left.

Exceptionally well.  This is the third time I have called on them since October.  Each and every time they have performed above expectations.

They cut down the tree. Part of the crew left while the other stayed to grind out the stump and the roots. I had nothing to clean up. There were no holes to fill. There was no sawdust to clean up. This is the second time I've used them, and the end result is consistent.

I have used Witt's tree service in the past and have been very pleased with their work.  For this project, I had called them to remove two dead ash trees. I had a proposal from them the day after I called and I agreed to proceed with the project. They said they would call a day or two before they would be on site to do the work and that's exactly what happened.  They called on a Friday afternoon and told me they would there Monday.

Professional yet friendly, competent and knowledgable, thorough and precise; reasonably priced. We are more than pleased with Witt's tree service and have recommended them to our neighbors. We would without hesitation utilize their services in the future. Their work turned out much better we ever expected.

The Witts tree crew arrived at 130pm today to do the above work. It was like an invasion with 6 trucks and about a dozen workers to do the job. The foreman confirmed the work with me and explained how it would be done. The crew got right to work with some working on the birch tree and some on the dogwood. The crew worked cleanly, efficiently and carefully. They moved some landscaping blocks that were in the way and put them back EXACTLY as they removed them when they were done. When grinding the stump, they set up a temporary fence to contain the wood chips and once the stump grinder was done, the entire crew then raked the lawn and leveled off the area where the stump was removed. Midway through the job, they asked us to look at the birch tree trimming they had done and asked if it was what we wanted, we asked them to cut it back a little further and they did so exactly as we asked them. Except for the bare dirt where the tree once stood, you would never know that a tree had been there. The cost for the job was exactly as estimated. And the work was performed exactly as described. The crew made sure to sweep up all debris from the yard sidewalk and the street in front of the house The most amazing part of the job was it only took about an hour and fifteen minutes from start to finish!!
The only negative part of the experience was that it took about one month from estimate to job completion. With that being said, last year we used another tree service to remove a maple tree, that service came out very quickly but the experience was a complete disaster. Moral of the story, quality contractors are busy because they do good work and they get lots of referrals from satisfied customers. It was worth waiting for Witt's to do the job and I would most definitely use them again in the future as well as recommend them to anyone in need of an excellent tree service.

Found this company on Angie's list. Never used them before. Left message after hours, they called back next day. Owner came out the following day to give estimate. Very fair price. Work was done the following day after accepting estimate. Workers were very clean. No damage to yard. Very happy with experience from this company. I will continue use them for landscaping/ tree removal service.

Called them to see if someone could come out to trim 2 trees in our backyard. They were there within 2 days with an estimate. When I called to set up an appointment I was told it may take up to 6 weeks for them to come out,which was fine with me. They showed up 3 days later, and my trees look great. Can't wait til Spring and Summer to see the fruits of their labor.

They were excellent. The price was a lot lower than the other estimates we received. We had to wait a few months till they came to do the job, but we weren?t in a hurry. They did a great job and a great clean up. You would not know trees were removed if it wasn?t for the bare ground where they were. We would use them again and recommend them to everyone.

It went well.They cleaned up nicely.The only issue I have is that the bush should have been trimmed shorter and maybe also the tree branches.Otherwise they did a good job.

They did an excellent job. They came, they worked and they were quiet. They cleaned up everything and there was no trash left anywhere. It was quite reasonable because I got prices from three other places. There wasn't much human contact, I called, and they came out when we weren't home. They looked around the stumps, marked them with spray paint, called me back, and said they would pick them out. Then weeks went by and that was concerning, so I called them again and they were out here within a couple of days. When the man came to do it, he was non-intrusive whatsoever, he cleaned up all the trash, the chips and the roots that he pulled out, and raked it all nice. It is ready to grow some grass where he took the stumps off now. He never came to the door, he just called to say he was coming and took care of it. He never bothered us or the neighbors, my husband and I were both impressed.

Mr. Witt provided an on the spot estimate, which was very, very reasonable. In fact it was almost one-half the price of other tree companies. They called the day before to notify they would be out at 1200 noon the next day. They arrived on time, with 8 personnel, four chip trucks, one bucket truck, and one large crane truck. They carefully laid steel mats on my lawn and any garden stones moved were replaced exactly in the proper place. They also brought the stump grinder. They used the large crane to removed the large evergreen, which they cut in half, hoisted the entire tree over our house and cut it up on the neighbors driveway.
The owner ran the crane and supervised the entire job. I asked for a deep stump grind/removal and they removed most of the stump and roots down below 24and quot;, as deep as the grinder would reach. They removed all excess tree chips.
They completed the task in 3 hours and as I stated previously, the area of my home and that of my neighbors were cleaned to perfection.
I would highly recommend this company for all tree and brush removal. They have the equipment and the manpower, and practice safe procedures in completing their tasks. Each person on the crew was very respectful and polite.

I called Witt's about 3 weeks before the services were performed to get an estimate. They left me a written estimate that same day. I was pleased with the price and so I didn't get any more estimates. I called the company to let them know I wanted them to take down the tree. I wasn't given a specific date that it would done but was told that it would probably be within the next 2 weeks and perhaps sooner because I lived in the same town as the company. After 2 weeks I called to see when they thought the work would be done. My tree was splitting and I needed it removed ASAP. I was told that a messsage would be given to the person who would be handling the job. I didn't hear back from them so the next day I called again and stressed that the tree looked as if it would split apart soon and fall onto my neighbor's property. The representative of Witts, I think it was the owner but I'm not sure, showed up about an 1 hr later at my home and he told me the tree would be removed tomorrow. He wasn't aware that the tree was split the first time he came out to do the estimate. The tree was cut down to about 10 inches above the ground. It was positioned up against an old fence and so they cut it down as close to the ground as they could. The debris was removed with just some residual wood chips and small twigs left, which would be expected. There were some small twigs and wood chips on my neighbors sidewalk and in his lawn. I would have liked it if they would have cleaned that up a bit better but I wasn't home at the time. All in all they did a very good job and I would use them again. Their price was excellent!

They came to give me an estimate the same day I called them. They said it would take about 3 weeks to get on the schedule but they came in just 2.

I have paid every other year. They do trimming shrubs and trees. They clean up very well. When we check with other companies, they are very reasonable. They do exactly what we ask. They do return phone calls. I do recommend them to anybody around here that asks, would they need anything done. I will continue to use their service.

It took several months from the time of request until the work was done, but it was so worth it. They did call and tell me they were running behind. They did a beautiful job and cleaned it up better than it was before they started. I have used this company before and have never been disappointed . I would recommend them highly.

As I stated in the Detail of Service, they arrived on time, and wasted no time standing around, smoking cigarettes and tossing butts on my property. They cleaned up and checked with me, as to their work. It was 110%

The removal took about 2-1/2 hours, employing 6 men and a crane. Len's was the only estimate that didn't require turning off electrical service to myself and my neighbors, due to lines running through the tree. It was a highly professional job, from start to finish.

Excellent job. When they were gone the only way you knew they were there was because the two trees were gone. Clean up was great and the lawn area showed no signs of the equipment

We have used Witts previously and we were pleased witg their professionalism so we called them again andonce again they came thru with a another professional job. They come when they say and are reasonably priced. We would reccomend them to anyone.

This was our first experience with this company. They were punctual in coming out to give an estimate for the work. (Two of the other companies we had contacted for an estimate did not even return our call.) They called the day ahead to let us know we were scheduled, and showed up to complete the work as scheduled. They sent a large crew and a full complement of equipment, and so the job was completed efficiently as well. They cleaned up the work area well afterwards. We were very pleased with their services, and won't hesitate to contract with them for future tree service needs.
