Service areas include South Western PA, Eastern Oh, and The entire state of Wv. Superior Walls were introduced in 1981, with Superior Walls by Collier Foundation Systems, Inc opening in 1994. I attempted to contact Superior Wall Systems last year after the problems became apparent, and had little success in reaching a live body. In fact, there is no answer at the number as stated above. After browsing for information on Superior Wall Systems, I was able to reach their Pittsburgh office, who denied any obligation to the warranty, and who also stated that the warranty liability is the responsibility of the franchisee of Collier Foundation Systems who made the basement walls, and referred me to a 'corporate' phone number.
My basement walls were manufactured by a franchisee based out of Youngstown, who has since gone out of business. I have tried on multiple occasions to reach the franchisor (Collier Foundation Systems) both last year and this year including today. Not once have I even received a return phone call. At this point I guess their official stance is that they have zero liability or responsibility for my leaky basement, despite the fact that they clearly state a 15 year warranty both on the walls themselves as well as on their website. DO NOT BELEIVE IT AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS CONTRACTOR. THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORDS.
"Superior Walls does include a limited 15-year warranty* on its products. The warranty is covered and backed by the franchisee that manufactured and installed them. Superior Walls by Collier Foundation Systems, Inc. did not manufacture or install the foundation in question. Unfortunately the franchise that did manufacture the product has gone out of business. Superior Walls by Collier Foundation Systems, Inc. does not warranty Superior Walls that are manufactured or installed by another franchise, but will provide assistance to the best of it’s ability to help a customer in need. (removed member name) contacted us yesterday (7/25/13) and explained the he was having some water issues, and that we had sent a crew with some caulking to his location last year to address the situation, and he was looking for some additional caulking. He was informed of the unfortunate warranty situation. He stated that nobody had informed him of that in the past. It was explained that even though it is not covered by our warranty, we do all that we can to help address customer issues, which would be why a prior site visit / caulking provided would not be considered unusual. We offered to sell some additional caulking to (removed member name) due to the concerns he had. Respectfully he did not want to pay for the caulking, which he said should be covered under warranty. Understandably, he was getting upset, and disappointed. At this point, we recommended that he contact the corporate office, and see of they will be willing to send out some caulking for free to help his situation. We gave him the toll free number for the corporate office and told him that if they are unable to help him, or if he needs anything else, to contact us and we will see what else we can do. (removed member name) did not re-contact us yesterday, or today for further assistance. We are still willing to help out.
