Auto Service
I was having the wood floors in an 80+ year-old house refinished and decided that the six floor registers really needed to be repainted - they were a scuffed, pitted burnished bronze. I contacted a couple of local auto body shops but they weren't really interested in doing the work. I thought about buying a metal stripper and doing them myself but didn't really want to tackle the job. I did a search for "sandblasting" with my zip code and up popped Carnegie Industrial Radiator so I called and spoke with the owner, Rob. He said he would be happy to take a look at them so I took them to his shop. He quoted me a price of $120 to sandblast, prime, paint AND seal!!!! I was thrilled!!!! He did the work in a few days and I couldn't have been happy when I saw them, they looked flawless!
About a month later, I repainted the bedrooms. All of the wall registers had several coats of old paint on them so I again went to Rob - he sandblasted and primered 3 wall registers for $50 (I'm painting them myself to match the walls)! Not only that, he repaired the toggle hook on one.
He mentioned that he also does radiators and really, anything else metal. Thankfully, my house has forced air so no floor radiators but, boy, if you have them and are looking for someone to re-do them, Rob and his team do excellent work at a great price and fast!
