Affordable Lawncare

Big disappointment. Bought the coupon and tried hard to get vendor to comply. Vendor never showed up. Finally got a partial refund from living social.

Similar to other reviews, I had purchased a Groupon deal by Affordable Lawncare for lawncare costing $59.00. Via Groupon, I scheduled my appointment and received a confirmation email. The work was scheduled during my work hours, so I was not present at the time of service. I arrived home that day expecting the work to be completed. There was no evidence of completion. When a lawn is aerated, there are holes throughout the yard. Furthermore, all reputable businesses leave an invoice or receipt. My yard was untouched and no documentation was left. I repeatedly called Affordable Lawncare to discuss the matter and possibly reschedule or ask for a refund. No one ever answered and the voice mailbox was always full. I eventually did leave one message, but never got a call back. I eventually filed a complaint with Groupon, but they had no luck in reaching Affordable Lawncare either. Since the matter was not likely to be resolved quickly, Groupon issued me a refund. To date, Affordable Lawncare has neither returned my call nor completed the service. Buyer beware.

Such a disappointment.  I scheduled this appointment several weeks in advance to allow some time after the crazy rush of appointments scheduled from all the Groupon purchases.  My husband had taken time off of work to be home for the appointment.  He called the morning of the appointment to confirm everything.  No answer.  He called again when when they were 45 minutes late for the 4pm appointment.  No answer.  He called again on Monday.  Guess what - still no answer.  And this time he got the "mailbox full" voice mail message.  He has also emailed the company twice, both of which have also gone unanswered.  All contact has been using the contact information straight from the company's own website.
It has been over a week, and we still have had no contact from Affordable Lawncare.
In short:
*No work was ever completed.
*No-call, no-show for appointment
*No one has returned any of our phone calls or emails.
I recommend avoiding Affordable Lawncare at all costs.  They are unprofessional, unreliable and dishonest.

I found Affordable Lawn Care on Groupon and decided to buy a lawn care package for my husband for his birthday. WIthout giving my husband's  exact age-he is nearing retirement and our lawn has gotten to be a lot for him to handle, especially when we average about 150 bags of leaves during the fall. 
I was SO excited to give this gift and give him a break. His birthday was on October 25th.

• Affordable Lawncare sent me an e-mail letting me know they would be at our home on Monday October 29th. I was at home all day to talk to them about our needs. It was raining and I wondered if they would come, but knew if they didn't, they would call. No call and no show. I waited all day. After I called and received no answer and no call back, I e-mailed the owner letting him know that they had NO SHOWED us without calling. The owner e-mailed me to say he was sorry and he would reschedule over e-mail. The next contact I had was an e-mail scheduling me for Sunday November 11th. I called and e-mailed again to ask if we could move it up-no answer-not even the courtesy of a phone call or an e-mail. On November 9th I received an e-mail canceling the November 11th date (no call or explanation) and rescheduling for Sunday November 18th. I called-no answer. On Sunday November 18th the company NO SHOWED again with no e-mail, no call, no head's up in any way. The appointment was for 9:15 and at 9:45 I called (no answer, of course). I then e-mailed and Kevin (using his normal business acumen) e-mailed back letting me know he was "sorry" and I could contact Groupon directly for a refund. 

I am mortified to have given this gift to my husband, as it caused us to have to work overtime to collect all the leaves. I am also mortified that someone could be THIS unprofessional and treat a potential customer in this way. 

They seemed to do a very good job. They arrived on time when they said they would. We were pleased with their service.

No contact from them.  Work was never done even though they have my money.Will be reporting them to other agencies also.Do not do business with this company.
