For all the work we have engaged The Tuckey Companies to do, their service has been quick, and they have always addressed whatever household issue we were experiencing. As an example of their professionalism I offer this event: Last week we were having problems with our well pump. I called Tuckey Mechanical and asked if they could come to determine what the problem might be. Shortly after I called the office, one of the company's electricians called me about the matter. He told me up front what might be causing the problem and advised me that I should contact a well company to have it fixed. The company could have sent a technician to our home to investigate, thus incurring a cost for the visit; but it did not, thus saving me money. When I did call a well company, they came and diagnosed the problem to be exactly what Tuckey's electrician said it likely was; they fixed the issue immediately. This event shows how The Tuckey Companies do not take advantage of their customers but, instead, keep their clients' interests above their own.

The technician showed up at the appointed time, completed the installation in 45 minutes and did a good job. Because this was a service call, and Tuckey is known to have good talent, I figured that I'd be looking at a $125-150 bill for the service call.
I was surprised to get a $65 bill, even called the office to see if they had left something out, since my experience with other HVAC services ~6 years back was that just the service charge for showing up on site was at least $75, not including the actual work. The office assured me that the $65 charge (including tax) was the full freight, which I then paid over the phone.

Two months into this nightmare, we found our new repairman. What a difference ! He looked at the problem, did a simple test and there was no acid in the system. The compressor did need to be replaced, but it was a huge relief that the entire system did not need to go. (about $10,000.00 worth of relief) He also brought us a new drip pan ( Tuckey had "repaired" the old one and said if that if that broke the whole system would have to be taken out of the basement and it would be a huge job. Our new guy did it in less than 10 minutes. We love the new guy, and I will NEVER use Tuckey again. I later found out that many of our neighbors had bad experiences with them also.

The pipe was repaired that caused the leak. I did have a problem with getting a timely appointment. The leak was running into the ceiling of our laundry room. After I spoke to the person scheduling the service call I called Ken Tuckey and explained the necessity for an immediate appointment. He had a service technician here in the afternoon.

They were quick in response, very friendly, and extremely thorough. After testing all of the water spots they had one of their painters come out and paint the entire first floor ceiling for us to cover the damaged spots. We have an open floor plan so we appreciated that they did the entire ceiling and not just the areas that were affected. They also called in one of their companies to steam clean our carpets and they were fabulous and fast. We would definitely use them again.

Throughout the years I have not had any bad experiences with them. From the new heat-pump to all the over assorted areas that needed work, I've been pleased with the professionalism.

My experience with them was great. I loved them. I would have them do other issues that I have with respect to remodeling. I would refer their professionalism when recommending them to others. They weren't all hesitant to bring a subcontractor to do things that they didn't feel qualified to do. That was pretty nice. Their price was competitive. The work was done very nicely.

They origionally tried to repair the system and the repairs did not work. It took a while to get them to agree to it, but they eventually honored their work and credited the cost of the failed work to a replacement unit. The new unit works wonderfully, and the guys who installed it did a great job.

I was concerned that there was something wrong with my heater. At about 6 o'clock at night, my wife reported a problem at my house, so, I needed a heating and cooling technician to come out, look, and make sure there was nothing seriously wrong. I initially called another company, but they did not have anyone on-call. Tuckey did. I was pleased. They had someone available, and he came out. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and took care of the problem. He was easy to work with. I paid overtime for the price because it was late at night. It was after regular hours, and it was an immediate call. He came out within an hour of me calling him which was obviously a different kind of service than normal, so, the price was very high, but I do not want them to be digging on that because I do not have any experience with what it normally cost to have someone come out on an overtime basis.

The first major repair following a New Year's eve leak didn't get completed until April. Fortunately, we don't use that second floor bathroom, and it was too cold to use the screened porch below that was damaged, so it wasn't a great inconvenience. The repair, when completed was good.
The most recent repair was to a window that was leaking. They came right away and fixed the exterior stucco, and I'm hopeful that takes care of it. At the same time, I asked if they could install a spotlight in a very tall niche, and they were happy to do so.
Dale Tuckey is the person I deal with most, and he's very respectful and helpful. So are the rest of the repairmen who've come to the house. They seem to have a broad range of expertise in many repairs.

We have been doing business with Tuckey Mechanical Services for nearly 20 years. The most recent service was to replace a heat pump that they installed for us ten years ago. The old unit had served us well but in its last few months there had been a variety of problems. The service department worked very hard to resolve the issues but it became apparent that the old heat pump had outlived its usefulness. All of this was taking place during one of the hottest periods of the season. When we decided to install a new system the folks a Tuckey made every effort to get the job done at the earliest possible time so that we would not be without cooling any longer than was necessary. And, the company forgave the charges on the last several service falls for the previous machine. The technicians, service manager, and sales staff were the essence of professional. They were always prompt, friendly, and demonstrated real expertice at their tasks. Because of our previous and long term relationship with this company we did not feel a need to get competative bids. It is possible that another company could have provided a similar unit at a lower price, but we have learned to trust the folks at Tuckey Mechanical. They are worthy of that trust; so much, in fact, that we felt quite at ease to take a brief vacation while the work was being done.

They were terrific in every way. The quality of overall work was fine. All of the workers were very professional and cooperative. There were some things that we worked on as we went on that differed from the original plans. They never proceeded without going over things with us, and making sure that we got what we wanted. They told us right from the beginning that they were not the cheapest in the area. We were willing to pay a little bit more to receive higher quality work.
