We were very impressed with the service we received from this company. The movers were fast, efficient and very courteous.
They completed the move in half the time the time that was allotted. They provided exactly the kind of service we needed. We ratde them excellent and would use them again if we need too.
The only caveat to this company, and it's not a problem, just something you should be aware of before contacting them, is that they do not provide a truck and they will not drive a truck that you provide. They show up with all the necessary moving equipment (dollies, straps, blankets, etc...) and you provide the truck and driver.
Craig, the owner, was very responsive. He gave me an estimate based on what items I had to move, told me what sized truck to rent and his estimates were spot on! We saved plenty over the full service movers-- and why not?
I would definitely use this company again!
"Member, After just reading your posting I looked to find our email to you as the reply you speak of does not sound as though it came from our company. I have not been able to locate an email to you in early November. Although we do charge by the hour for our services, we provide estimates for our customers either via email, over the phone, or in person at their homes. In our estimates we cover any and all expenses and needs for the move from packing material required, man hours required for either packing or moving, and the size truck required for the move. We also arrange for labor at the destination end of long distance moves when we are the loading company here in central PA. There are occassions where customers request, via email, just certain information and that, in turn, is how we respond to the email. I apologize if we have mishandled your request in any way. We take pride in providing the best possible service to all of our customers. If you have a copy of the email that you recieved I would appreciate your forwarding a copy of it to me so that I further investigate any mistakes on our part. The "B" rating for responsiveness refers to the scheduling end of it. My phone call was not promptly returned but I did not see that as a problem per se, just couldn't give an "A".
Calling on Monday, I received a voicemail message saying that "we are closed for the weekend." I got the same message on Tuesday.
I tried a few more times during the following week.
Finally I called and left an explicit message that I was looking for moving services. No one ever returned my phone call.
"We apologize for not responding to your telephone call. Although the winter has been unusually busy for us there is no excuse for not returning your call. We hope that you managed to move otherwise and were happy with the service that the mover provided."
