Brian, son of Elwood, has been operating heavy equipment since he was, well, ask him the story.  It's funny.
None of this was easy: we built our house into the side of a mountain. Great efforts were made by others, but no one got it right. He did corrective driveway grading and took back a cut that was too steep and eroding. We were thrilled with his work then.
Brian came back for the second time for a little clean up in the front yard I had originally asked him to leave: I thought I would do it by hand because the drainage was so delicate.   Well, that was a fantasy. I couldn't get it to work with a rake, and I have experience with this stuff.
He is careful, very deliberate, doesn't abuse plants, building corners or overhangs, or anything.  He knows what he's doing and can look at a grade and know just what to do to correct it.  Now the front drains perfectly: amazing since the slope is really hard to see and it is a very small and restricted area.
He used his big machine to change the grade a couple of inches.  It looked like he was spooning sugar into my grandmother's best teacup.
I was a landscape contractor before I retired, so saw plenty of good and bad machine work. In my opinion, this guy is the best I've every seen.
Plus, his price is excellent.  His rate is fair, and for us, he got it right the first time.  Wish we'd known him when.
