Our History In 2008, Jeremy Wiser began a Sole Proprietorship named Wiser Landscaping. When Jeremy decided to transition from a Sole Proprietorship to a Limited Liability Corporation in 2010, the named changed with it; and Elite Lawn & Landscaping, LLC was born! Shortly after Wiser Landscaping was created, Jeremy realized he needed to gain something that only a few other landscaping contractors had. With only 5% of landscaping companies belonging to a professional association, educated, and certified, Jeremy asked himself, “What can I do to set myself apart?” His answer; become Elite! To become elite, Jeremy needed to gain a wide range of knowledge as well as precise and detailed specifics about the green industry to become the best of the best! Jeremy persude education to enhance his applied experiences with courses consisting of Pest Management, Greenhouse Production, Nursery Management, Landscape Design, Landscape Construction, Landscape Maintenance, Woody and Herbaceous Plants, and various business classes. In the meantime, Jeremy was still operating Wiser Landscaping and Elite while attending continued education; no easy task, but time was well invested! After 2 years of rigorous studying, applied theories, and internships, Jeremy graduated with honors in 2011 and earned a Certificate in Ornamental Horticulture from Harrisburg Area Community College at the Harrisburg Main Campus. Today, Jeremy stays current in the landscaping industry by continuing his education with certifications and memberships to Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) and Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association (PLNA.)
