I first met Sam in a convenience store, when a few days earlier my wife and I were just seriously discussing getting concrete work done, and I seen the logo on Sam's shirt and asked for a card. I called later that day and we made an appt. for the estimate, which he showed up for right on time! I explained what I wanted, and Sam listened first, then asked questions for verification and then, adding some suggestions. He explained his reasoning for his suggestions in understandable terms, but strived in everyway to achieve my wants in the most efficient means possible. He took the measurements and my email address, and said he'd send an estimate within a week. Now there were some other contractors that I had been waiting over 4 monthes to just return with an estimate, so I didn't expect to receive it in 3 days, but to my surprise there it was. Sam is likeable, friendly, and professional, with an obvious knowledge and pride in his product. He maintained an open line of communication, letting us know what he was doing, and going to do, and why. Then, the next day, he and his helper Mike did it! His equipment was his own, and very apparently impeccably maintained, showing a pride that gave me a settled feeling. I don't usually feel that way while work is being performed on my house by contractors. The only other time I felt this at ease when dealing with a contractor was another "Angie's List" contractor, which also resulted in a fine job. We had zero issues throughout the job. The price of the job was right what we were expecting, but the quality and finished product, my wife and I both agree surpassed the cost. We are receiving compliments on the work almost daily, from some people I don't even know! Sam was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and I wish him continued success. Anyone requiring the types of services S A Construction offers would be doing themselves a disservice in not considering them for your needs. The worksite was always left cleaned and even the neighbors liked them during the inconvenience that all started with a chance meeting at a convenience store.
