McMurray Nursery

It went well.  He was very knowledgeable, friendly, providing very sound and doable maintenance / enhancing yard-care projects.

McMurray Nursery has always done a great job and the reason we use them every year.  The details make a difference and they all do the additional details that really make the yard look great.  Staff has always been very friendly. I highly recommend them

They were awesome! Hard working, respectful and left the place cleaned up. Did a better than expected job. Finished on schedule. They were there when they said they would be there. I will definitely use them again.

The crew worked very hard, did a great job and made our landscape look tidy and very professionally done.  Exceeded our expectations and will use again for certain.

Paul was very professional. He was on time and always followed up with me. He helped me design the landscape. His crew was on time and worked non stop. They were courteous and highly skilled. It turned out beautifully. My wife and I couldn't be happier. Most of all they came in on budget. I will be using Mcmurray Nursery for all my landscape needs and recommend them to all my friends.

I thought I had entered this review earlier .... I do not recall details as precisely now.
I DO know that the owner (Paul?) came out to see what we wanted to be done. We walked around the entire property together. The property has beds around 3 sides of the house and along three sides of the property line.  I noted what needed to be removed, what I wanted to stay, where ground levels needed to be adjusted, beds that needed to be totally redone. He made notes and made some good suggestions. I knew it was going to involve a LOT of work as nothing major had been done in the past 25 years. He emailed a quote within the week.
His crew began the weeding, mulching, putting boulders, plantings, etc sooner than expected. Paul consulted with us about the trees and shrubs which would would be planting. The regrading of the entire backyard came slightly later, but still in time for a nice growth of new grass before cold weather set in.  My description of regrading may be deceptively small. Most of the grading WAS small but we had a garage addition which needed some MAJOR regrading around it .
The property looks great now! Front, sides, back, all fantastic! Paul was always punctual with all his appointments from the quote to when his crew would arrive. The mulch is applied liberally.  All plantings survived :) No weed eruptions!

Excellent work and above average cleanup.  Work was started and completed in 1 day.  Cleanup after about 1000 ft. of shrubbery was excellent.  Worked from early morning until late afternoon with hardly a break in hot weather.  Did everything that was promised and then some.  Great company to work with!

Paul Hauber listened to us explain what we had in mind and offered suggestions that complemented our thinking. He created a plan and worked the plan. His team worked straight through an entire day and a half to complete the job. And they completed everything within budget. I'd recommend contacting Paul Hauber at McMurray Nurseries for your landscaping.

The experience was good. I continue to do business with them, I had them out last year, and they are coming out again this month. I like their quality of work.

If you want to be like all your neighbors, then use someone else to design and install your landscaping. If you want all your neighbors to want to be like you, then use McMurray Nursery!
Paul and his team were awesome! Great and interesting plant selection, craftsmanship, and attention to details are the hallmarks of my experience with them! Don't bother with anyone else.

Paul, the owner of McMurray Nursery, was VERY responsive and came to our house within 2 days of my Angie's List message to discuss our project.. His professionalism and knowledge of landscaping will come across very quickly and you will immediately have confidence that you are dealing with the right person and company.
My grass died of a disease last summer - Paul would not do the work until he found out what the cause was and how it could be prevented from happening in the future.  He called in a specialist who determined the cause and treated the ground before he started the project - I imagine this is not only rare but very impressive as well.
Next was the visit to McMurray Nursery to select our evergreens and plants.  The selection is huge but once again Paul continued to impress with his knowledge of every plant at the nursery.  Paul actually travels all over the country and hand picks his inventory which allows him to have plants and evergreens that you will not find elsewhere. We shared what we liked and he made suggestions.  During one of our visits he showed us his fountains which we loved and added to the project.  The finished beds look absolutely amazing.
IMPORTANT NOTE - ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS PAUL HAD THE CHANCE TO UP SELL US AND MAKE IT A LARGER PROJECT. HE ACTUALLY RECOMMENDED AGAINST DOING SOME THINGS WE ASKED RATHER THAN JUST LOOKING TO MAKE A QUICK DOLLAR. THIS SPEAKS DIRECTLY TO HIS INTEGRITY WHICH IS UNMATCHED WITH MANY LANDSCAPERS. YOU CAN FEEL HIS PASSION FOR WHAT HE DOES AND THE IMPORTANCE OF HIS FINISHED PROJECT.
I have to mention his team of workers that were outstanding as well. Jeff is his foreman and honestly could own his own business (sorry Paul). He was amazing and totally focused on a perfectly finished project.  Jeff and his team of workers re-graded our yard which was an issue. In addition, the team went the extra mile to fix a water problem that we had for years. He put in a drain that works perfectly and I no longer have sitting water issues - we are so happy. Jeff and his team of laborers are hard working gentlemen and very professional.
There are hundreds of landscapers in the South Hills and Pittsburgh but you will never find anyone better to work with than McMurray Nursery and Paul.  I am sure we will have more work to do in the future and without question i will only work with McMurray Nursery!

Paul and his crew do amazing work.  He is extremely created and loves what he does; I know he will always come up with something a little different that sets my house apart from the others.  His foreman, Jeff, and all of their workers, are very professional, hard working and respectful.  He takes pride in what he does and will make sure you are completely satisified.

This was our second job with Paul at McMurray Nursery.   As usual Excellent experience and would definitely recommend using him.

He took a lot of time with us. He even brought us to the nursery so we could pick out all the plants and trees. He was very professional, courteous, and friendly. He helped us understand exactly what we were putting in. His workers were very helpful. He came back a couple of times to show us how to work the fountains they put in. He was very helpful.

Paul returned my email message promptly. He listened to my ideas and allowed me to come out to the nursery to choose rocks and plants. His employees, who were polite and professional, removed 3 large, sturdy yews that were at least 20 years old, prepped the soil (being careful not to disturb underground downspouts), 'installed' large, heavy rocks; planted evergreens; and finished by spreading small pebbles that serve as the garden's 'mulch.' The job was completed in a day and continues to look great.
