Ken's Tree Service

Ken is one of the most professional contractors I have ever hired. He has done multiple jobs for me and I could not be happier with work. Fair pricing, accurate time frame for doing the work, on time, hard working, honest...I do not know what else you could want! The few negative reviews here are not even close to my experience. Most likely they are misunderstandings or just people who will complain about the littlest things.

I had two large trees trimmed. Ken's price beat others by a mile. I cannot express how pleased I am with their work! The trees look great and they cleaned up with no debris left in our yard. I highly recommend them and they have all my future work.

We requested a quote for Ken's Tree Service to cut down a tree and remove everything except the stump.  It wasn't clear from the quote we received if this is what they were going to do, so we called the company to confirm.  They said they wouldn't be able to haul it away, but they would cut the tree into firewood size pieces instead.  Ken cut down the tree and used a chainsaw to cut it into pieces and we paid him the amount we agreed upon.  When we went outside to look at the tree, we found that the pieces he cut weighed about 75-100 pounds each.  We called him every couple weeks for the next three months for him to come finish the job and each time he said he would be out soon.  We finally got to the point where we gave up.  If you want someone that is cheap, use Ken's Tree Service, but don't expect them to honor their quote.

I Emailed him on a Saturday evening (holiday weekend) to request an estimate and give details of the work to be performed.  Followed up with a phone call three days later.  Sometime that evening, while I was not at home, he visited my home and left a estimate in my door.  My wife found it the next morning and called me at work to give me the information.  The price was much lower than two other estimates I received.  I called and  spoke to a young lady to accept his estimate.  An hour later my wife called me and told me that the tree was half gone and being ground in the shredder.  In less than 2 hours from accepting the estimate, the job was done.  They left the site level and clean.  Will only call Ken next time.  I strongly recommend him to anyone.

Ken arrived about 2 hours after I phoned his office and came up with the quote.  He and his team were there the next day and removed all trees/shrubs as requested.  They were polite, efficient, and did a very thorough cleanup.  I was impressed with the quality of their service, their courteousness, and their promptness.  I would highly recommend them.

I have used Kens Tree Service twice so far, and intend to continue using his company to trim our trees. He responds quickly to requests for an estimate and does the work shortly thereafter.

Ken & his crew arrived & went right to work cutting off the lower branches of a 40 foot tall pine tree that was about 15 feet from our house & leaning towards our neighbor's house. As branches were being cut, they were carried to the chipper.  Ken made the cuts to drop the tree away from our house & the neighbor's house. The tree was cut up & chipped as Ken ground down the stump. The area around where the tree stood was raked, & any wood chips were blown off our driveway.
Ken & his crew worked steadily from the time they arrived until they left.  There was no phone usage or standing around waiting for directions on what to do next.  These guys knew what had to be done & did it.
     

There was a slight mix up in getting a response from the initial call. After that the work was done very quickly and we were very satisfied with the results. This was not the first time we had used this service and we would not hesitate to call him again.

It was great.  Ken came out the day after we called for a quote to look at the trees.  He gave us his opinion on the work that needed to be done as we were on the fence about 2 of the trees as whether to prune them or take them down.  Because of the size and location of those trees he advised us to take them down, because he said we were just going to keep spending money every year fighting a losing battle to keep them pruned appropriately and off of the house.
We called to schedule the work and were told 7-10 business days, possibly sooner depending on scheduling and availability.  He called later that evening to ask if he could come out the following day.
He stacked the logs in our wood line (our request), chipped the brush, and ground out the stumps and large roots in the yard.
Everything was completed in 1 day of work, and the area was left neat and clean.
