Would definitely recommend Doran Electric. Did excellent work. Very nice and professional. Explained everything they were doing. Came and did job until complete. Cleaned up as they went. Doran will be my go to company when I need electric projects done. Very satisfied.

Crew arrived promptly at specified time. Work was done in a timely and professional manner. Panel breakers were labeled, and cabling was run neatly. Crew was friendly and helpful, and was willing to accommodate the changes/add-ons we requested when they came out. Job was completed in one day, and everything was cleaned up afterwards. Price was reasonable, and consistent with the quote we received. Very pleased with the service, would definitely use again.

The thing I was really impressed with, was that they went above and beyond working with the electric company on our behalf, to get them to move the wire going to the street to a more suitable location. The installation took an hour and everything went great until I received the bill a couple weeks later. My complaint is not with the service but with the failure to disclose accurately, what to expect with regard to his charges. I specifically asked before deciding to hire him, how much time he estimated for the 2 story install and what the hourly charge was. He said it would take 2 men and he estimated approximately 1 hour at the rate of $125.00 per hour for 2 men. I agreed and hired him. He informed me he would be doing the install on the way home from another job at the end of the day. He was right on time. However, he showed up with 3 men which surprised me but I assumed that was because he was on his way home from another job. He never explained why there were 3 and not 2. Most of the time, the third man was not involved in the install but did assist with minor things that could have been done by one of the other 2 men had he not been present. The install went very well. The men were all very professional and I was very happy with the quality of the work. The total install took almost exactly an hour. When I received the bill, rather than the expected $125.00, I was billed for $230.00!!! I contacted the owner for an explanation. He told me it would have taken 2 hours if he'd only had 2 men, but I disagreed based on the work the 3rd man did. Also, he was charging me for 3 men and an assumption of what may have happened had he only had 2. He knew the extent of the job when he said it would take 2 men approximately 1 hour. He was right. That is what it took, but I was charged almost double for the one hour of service. We could not agree and he said he was done with me and I could just pay him what I felt it was worth and he'd never have to hear from me again. Not a good way to conduct business!!! Nothing I said could convince him that there should have been a compromise based on his original disclosure of payment for services rendered. As a good consumer, I would never cheat anyone so I paid him the full $230.00 since that is the amount he invoiced. I do however, want to warn consumers that he does not comply with what he tells you initially with regard to his charges. You don't charge someone on what "could have been". If you state you will be charging by the hour for 2 people, that is what the consumer should expect. Not a charge for a third person just because they were with him from the previous job. And certainly not based on what he thinks the time might have taken with 2. He was here 1 hour and I expected to be charged for 1 hour for 2 people as he originally stated. I definitely would NOT recommend him unless you don't really care how much he charges you!

Extremely professional from the start. Hank promptly responded to my call for an estimate. They were right on time the day of service. They took their shoes off and put down drop cloths to prepare for the work. They got right to work.....no wasting time. Cleaned up 100% when they were done. Hank and the other two workers were professional, knowledgable and respectful of my home. I will definitely use them again.

We have used Hank Doran on several occasions. Most recently he repaired an electrical switch in our outside lamppost which was causing other circuits to short out in the house. Hank also helped us replace dropped ceiling tiles in the gameroom and ordered a new bathroom fan to replace one he had installed earlier which had malfunctioned. Hank is very reliable and his prices are reasonable. Excellent electrician and we will definitely contact him again for electrical services

When I called Mr. Doran to get an estimate Mr. Doran said he could come on Thursday afternoon. So he did - gave me an estimate of $400. We then set up the following Thursday morning. I asked when in the morning will you be here? At 8.30 AM.
The following Thursday they showed up at 8.30 AM. The came in the house -took their shoes off and put drop cloth down on which they put their tools etc.
1.5 hours later they were done - cleaned up nicely after themselves.
A week later I got the invoice - it was $ 350!

Was having intermittent electrical issues. It was short notice but Hank Doran made time to stop by and problem solve the issue. Ultimately the circuit simply need to be replaced but Hank was very thorough in ruling out any other issues… was very professional… and took the time to explain everything he was doing and evaluating. I would highly recommend him and will call Doran Electric in the future of any electrical needs.

The entire project was done quickly and professionally. Hank and his son cleaned up everything. They arrived on time. The price that was quoted to me was exactly what was charged.

Hank came out looked at the job and gave a rough estimate. Called and made an appointment for the work. Workers showed up on time. They were professional. They took care to show what were the problems and the defective parts Took special care to protect hardwood floors and home. They were respectful to both my wife and I. Bill was within a few dollars of estimate.

Hank came out and gave me a quote and wouldn't take any down payment. He scheduled everything including having the power company coming to pull the power and come back to inspect and reconnect the power. Hank and his 2 assistants came in and started to work... very fast and efficient. Since he was there he talked me into adding whole house lightning protection for $200 which comes with a warantee. They replaced everything from the wires coming in to the breaker box. One of the neatest electrical jobs I've seen. Total cost was $1500 plus the $200 for the lightning protection which was a very reasonable price... Definitely plan to have Hank and his crew back when I need additional electrical work.

They were reasonable in their pricing. They were neat and they were punctual. They didn't take any short cuts and they did it right. We have had them come out and give us an estimate on some electrical work, but we are waiting on the roofing because they are going to coincide with that.

From beginning to end, it was a great experience working with Hank. He and his employee (I only met one) were very professional, punctual, efficient, and personable. I'm fairly knowledgeable in construction and critical of anyone that I hire to do work around my house. Hank did not let me down. Hire him, you won't be disappointed.

Complete turnkey project. Doran handled interface with power company and completed work and final inspection in timely manner.

The job was done very professional, no clean up on my part as compared to my other experiences. We couldn't have been more pleased. The initial response time was excellent compared to three other electricians I was working with. The price was very good. I found Mr. Doran very helpful with ideas and reputable. I will definitely used him again.
