Their sales department is great when we purchased our washer and dryer.  We will purchase ALL of our appliances and anything else they sell.  These are the business people who care.  I had bought the wrong gas line hook up and they took it back no questions asked, even though i trashed the bag it came in.

I would like to commend the service team at Don's! Several years ago, my wife and I purchased a refrigerator from another local company.  Although we did not purchase it from Don's, they were more than happy to service them for us.  My calls to their service department are always returned in a timely, efficient and pleasant manner by  Cindy.  A courtesy call is received the business day before they arrive.  Our service team Jim & Eddie were both very knowledgeable.  They took the time to explain what the issues were and how the repairs would be made.  They were kind enough to get us through the Thanksgiving Holiday without losing the use of the refrigerator too!  Their service manager Pat, is extremely fair and honest. Together, they have all made a lasting and favorable impression.

We had purchased an Viking range from a different appliance store.  We called Don's and they came out and replaced our Igniters for the range.

The serviceman corrected a minor issue with the upper oven which fixed the problem. However, he identified a problem with the door lock assembly of the LOWER oven and recommended replacing it. I was not having any problems with the oven but agreed to the repair. After the new door lock assembly was installed, the oven would not heat at all! I had just used it 2 days prior without a problem.
I was charge $344.91 and they essentially broke my oven, I had never had an issue with this oven. The unfortunate event happened 2 days before Thanksgiving and made preparing the Thanksgiving dinner a mess. I am not convinced there was ever a problem with the lower oven and now it is not functioning. Major inconvenience.

We had a very good experience with Don's.  We visited their showroom, saw the model we ended up buying, received, in writing, the total cost for purchase, delivery and installation.  The sales person was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and did not pressure us to buy on the spot.  We called back the next day, gave her our credit card information and completed the transaction.
The dishwasher was delivered within the time promised, about a week, by 2 delivery/installation men.  They were professional, respected our home, did the installation and gave us a demonstration on how the dishwasher works.  Then they hauled away our old unit.  The new dishwasher has operated flawlessly and is whisper quiet.  Completely happy.
Don's charged about $240.00 for delivery and installation, something you may get for free from some of the big box stores.  Our neighbors bought a refrigerator from a big box store that bungled the installation, resulting in a water leak that caused major damage to their home.  We're aware of other horror stories about appliance installation nightmares.  So, the extra money was worth it, in our opinion, to have the installation done by professionals.  The price Don's charged for the dishwasher was the same as the major retailers were charging.

Tony came to the house during the window of time that the office had given us. When I explained to him what was happening, he diagnosed the problem easily. Tony tested the igniter to make sure his diagnosis was correct. He offered to replace the igniter and detailed the costs for doing so. I agreed to the replacement and the job was done in less than one half hour. Tony was polite and professional at all times.

The reason I like Don's Appliance is they switch to a model where they actually fixed price for the entire trip and repair. They were awesome. They came when they said they would and I've been very pleased with them.

We just think that they are the best.  They did something for us on Thanksgiving a few years ago; they came out and fixed our stove at the last minute.  The day before Thanksgiving I was having 20 people for dinner and the oven died.  The came out immediately without any hesitation and fixed it.  Their response was great.  We are very pleased with their price, merchandise and their service.

Response from Don's Appliance - Canonsburg
"Yes that is correct. We charge a flat rate whether something is repaired or not but we do offer a 50.00 credit if a unit is not repairable and a new unit is purchased at one of our stores. We are upfront with our labor charges."

I called Don's at first to see about getting someone to come out to look at our double oven and they said it would be $159 just for them to come look at it.  That being said, I felt that $159 was a lot of money just to make a service call... not alone what I would have to pay in order for them to actually fix the appliances.
After this, we decided to go with someone else I found on Angie's list.  When he arrived, he told us that our double oven had been discontinued and that he wouldn't even fix it for us... suggesting that we just purchase a brand new appliance and charging us $89 for his service call.
This being said- we decided to get a second opinion and go with Don's Appliance even though we felt the price could be extremely high by the time they fixed it.
So, what we didn't realize is that Don's charges a flat fee to service your appliance no matter how long it takes them... So, in all reality, $150 ended up being a very fair labor rate to get our double oven fixed.  Every appliance after your 1st is $99 flat labor rate.  They had brought a few items they thought might be needed to fix our refrigerator, which they installed the day they came... and then they installed a control panel for the double oven that day but had to order springs and a latch for the bottom oven.  The cook top ended up needing a new burner and 4 new knobs which the technician ordered and came back the following week to install.
We were extremely pleased with the promptness and knowledge that our technician, Tony had.  We would highly recommend Don's Appliances to anyone.... and if we ever need any other appliance repaired (which hopefully we don't), we will be sure not to waste our money with another service man first.

This company went out of their way to install the dishwasher I purchased.  Our kitchen was installed by the previous owners of the house.  The dishwasher they had installed died.  I went to Don's Appliance in Canonsburg and purchased a new one because they had helped me with troubleshooting over the phone numerous times on other appliances.  It took a while for the dishwasher to come in (not Don's fault), and I was placed on the schedule for the next available day, maybe 2 days later.
Unfortunately, we have a seam in the granite countertop above the dishwasher and had to make sure there was support under the countertop and above the dishwasher.  The support brace that was originally installed prevented the dishwasher from fitting into the opening.  A local granite company made a smaller support for me and installed it.  Unfortunately, the dishwasher did not fit the second time either.  I had resigned myself to the fact that I was going to have to buy a smaller dishwasher, which meant a smaller number to choose from and probably a more expensive one.  Our salesman, MattRendulich, asked if they could send out their kitchen expert to look at it.  Matt was intent on getting me the dishwasher I actually wanted.
The guys came out and within two hours they had figured a way to install the dishwasher.  They even added better support for the countertop.  I was so impressed with the attitude of everyone I dealt with at Don's.  I never felt like I was being a problem.  All of the delivery guys were patient and respectful, even when my kitchen prevented them from doing their jobs.  I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for major kitchen appliances!

I had initially one experience where they sent out an inexperienced technician and he seemed not to know how to service the stove.  I called back and got their service manager who came out.  We've actually used them like three times over a year and a half and I've had the same technician who is just very sharp.  His name is Todd Hoak, he's very sharp and very professional.  The problem that we had wasn't easy to diagnose and he seemed to really think through things clearly and efficiently.  They are a little bit pricey; it's a $159 an hour for the labor.

We have used them many times and they are our favorite.  We would tell others that they are very prompt, reasonably priced and they do the job quickly.  They do it well and stand by their work.

The switch to turn the oven on in our Viking stove did not work anymore. My husband gave the company the serial # etc. so that they could order a new switch. We were called when the part came in and a service appointment was set up for 6 days later. Two men arrived within the 2 hour time window promised. So far everything was great. The first assumption of the Don's Appliance employees was that the dial knob was worn out rather than the switch. After a few minutes they agreed that it was indeed the switch itself and they were able to figure out how to install it within a reasonable period of time. They DID have trouble figuring out though how to reinstall the removable stove covers on the stove making it quite likely that they really were not familiar with Viking stoves. My husband showed them how to do it.The shocker was the bill: $286.- for 15-20 minutes of work in our house. $159.- was the price for labor, $109.- the price for the new switch and the rest was tax. There will be a one year guarantee on their work....glad for that. Oviously we should have asked about the approximate cost of service when first contactiong the company. Beware! Don's Appliance is seriously overpriced.

They have a $50 lid for a service call. There is a period of time given for each repair and if something goes wrong within that period you need not pay again for the service call. I like them. I have used them for years. They come out quickly and they also seem to have lot of knowledge about foreign brands. I use different brands and there have never been a problem getting the parts. They are not inexpensive but they come quickly and they have a service warranty.
