They Sales Representative missed the mark in communication and expectations. The install team started to execute the plan but based on only being on the planet for 22 years they didn't  understand they should validate the "WHAT" they are doing before moving on.  The shed was built /installed correctly and the company worked hard to get the job done right.

Looked at Amish Yard and another local shed builder. Amish yard's construction was noticeably sturdier (particularly in the 8"x2" tongue and groove floorboards they use), at not much more cost. They are a locally based seller of a shed product made by Weaver Barns, who are based out of Ohio. (weaverbarns.com has somewhat larger photo galleries if you want to see all their different options)
Additionally, they offer a low-maintenance vinyl siding option (vs painted wood paneling) that the other builder did not offer. We were on the fence, as this added about $1000 to the final price and was slightly less attractive-looking, but decided to get it as this will greatly reduce the future upkeep on our part.
We went with a front-facing window, shutters and a flowerbox as this breaks up the siding and makes it look much nicer than your average toolshed (closer to a miniature house than a shed). I'd also recommend springing for the door option with the row of windows at the top as this helps let in light (especially if you're not running electricity to it).
We did the footer ourselves. We framed it with 6x6" pressure treated posts (12' x 16' to allow 1' on each side), then filled this with gravel. Make sure you allow yourself lead time for this important prep step... it took about 4 tons of gravel to fill this area, which makes for a lot of shoveling and wheelbarrow trips.
