"Thanks for your support! Regards, Dr. Michael Verber"
"[Member name], I am very sorry about your appointment. This was obviously a mistake on our part. I will be reaching out to you personally to see if there is any way we can make this up to you. Regards, Dr. Michael Verber"
"Hi [Member name removed], Thank you for your review and kind words. We are committed to the highest quality dentistry, but we also try to keep our fees in line with area averages. Below is a link to a government sponsored website that maybe of interest to you. You can look up the average fee in your zip code for any dental procedure. For example, our charge for a cleaning is $12 below the area average. I hope this helps: http://fairhealthconsumer.org/dentalcostlookup.php Thanks, Dr. Michael Verber"
"Thank you [removed member name] It is always a pleasure to see you at the office. Regards, Dr. Michael Verber"
Then I made an appointment for a cleaning. After the initial exam with the hygienist, Michael Verber came in and said they couldn't do a cleaning. They had to do a full scaling/planing. I agreed. Then he told me that before they could do that they had to do another examination--one that would cost $650 and wasn't covered by insurance. He never did tell me what would be included in that exam or why it was necessary. In the course of the conversation, he insisted that I would need to have all my previous fillings removed and replaced. He also made some other statements about work that would be needed that I thought was extreme. When I said it was unlikely I'd do any of that, he told me to find another dentist. In fact, he would not even honor the appointment I already had for the following week for a crown for the root canal tooth.
I have since gone to another dentist who has not made any of the suggestions he made. My previous dentist, who I had left only because of distance, also never made any of the suggestions he made.
I will say the office is great. It's beautiful and the front office staff are wonderful.
"[member name removed], I am very sorry that we were not the right fit for you. We were very concerned with your care and felt that there was a need address some very serious issues in a comprehensive manner. Unfortunately, your insurance did not cover everything we felt was necessary to restore your oral health in a way that would give you some stability. We understood that you were not comfortable with our recommendation, and for this reason we encouraged you to seek another opinion elsewhere. If we miscommunicated this to you in anyway I am truly sorry. Best Wishes, Dr. Michael Verber"
"Thank you very much for your feedback. We typically do not charge extra for crowns even though we always use the highest quality crowns made locally by an excellent dental lab. The fit and strength of these crowns serve our patients well by lasting longer and keeping the teeth healthy. Occasionally a patient will request a specific type of crown other than what we recommend. For example in your case, a gold crown. In these cases, if there is an additional cost to us we pass what ever that cost is to the patient. In your case, the cost of the gold crown you wanted would exceed the charge. And yes we want to cover our costs. In order to continue to provide the quality care that our patients have become accustomed to, we have to remain financially solvent. We have made a decision not to use lesser quality crowns or cut corners in the way we treat patients. We did listen to your arguments and contacted the insurance carrier, who confirmed that we were well within our rights to handle the situation as we did. I am sorry that we could not come to an agreement. Regards, Dr. Michael Verber"
"Thank you for your kind words! Sincerely, Dr. Michael Verber"
|I have insurance plan they accept so I have little or no copayment so that is why I did not fill in Approx Cost.
"Thank you! We appreciate your loyalty to our practice. Best Wishes, Dr. Michael Verber"
1. One of my fillings cracked shortly after the appointment. I don't feel it was their fault, probably just bit down on something the wrong way. Anyway, they got me back in quickly and redid it for free, so I am very happy with that.
2. The statements/bills that I received were very confusing, but when I called they were able to clear everything up for me, so I'm quite happy there as well.
Definitely recommend them highly!
Office environment is very nice, newly redone.
"[member name removed], Thank you so much for your support. I apologize for the wait and the construction chaos. We are nearing the completion of our new office and will soon have the room to add another hygienist. I anticipate this will resolve the wait issue you had. We strive to make every visit extraordinary and promise to do better next time. Never hesitate to call our office and ask to speak to me directly if there is ever something we can do for you. Regards, Dr. Michael Verber"
