We set up a time for 7:00 that evening. After he missed the appointment, I called him and he said there was family emergency and that he'd come the next day at 7. When he missed that appointment, I called him and asked what happened, and proceeded to laugh at me and hung up.

It was fine. They were very professional. I would definitely recommend them. They only actually broke one thing and they replaced it. It was a glass shelf, but it was not a big deal. They said, "This is our fault so we will take care of it." They were quick and they were efficient.

Matt and his crew showed up on time to move my furniture. They were fast, friendly and very professional.
The following day they were at my new address before I arrived and quickly unloaded the furniture without any issues. The final fee came in lower than the original estimate.
I would definitely use this company again.

They were supposed to provide moving, crating of our household merchandise. We paid extra to have to very Precious statues crated. When they arrived at our new home they had never been crated and were broken into bits. We were also sold the insurance. It's useless. My family has moved many times. This is the worst company ever

In a word, AWFUL! The movers arrived at the house two hours late because they couldn't figure out how to get around a low tunnel.
I had asked the representative to box the flat screen television and the paintings on the walls of the livingroom....none of that was done. Because they were so late I had to leave them to pack up the storage area without me.
When the household items arrived there were many broken pictures and picture frames, none of them were packed. The flat screen television was not boxed. We came to realize later, that the three Currier and Ives prints were missing; conveniently enough the inventory list for those prints were missing also, along with the inventory list of everything that was in the storage. Many of our antiques were scratched or broken, with the total to repair bill to fix all of the broken/scratched antiques was well over $5000.
I could go on and on as to what was broken and/or lost. But suffice to say that the common person using a mover would be advised to look somewhere else.

"Member, At the time of your move Nicholas Moving & Storage was an agent for Benkins Van Lines. We no longer are agents for this company. We are now under Stevens Worldwide Van Lines. I personally apologize for the troubles you had to go through with your move. Since the time of this move we have hired a completely new crew, all of which have been trained (from how to move things correctly, to making an inventory, etc.) I again apologize for your dissatisfaction with our company, however besides the owner, at this point we basically are a brand new company. On moving day the men showed up 21/2 hours late. They brought no additional moving supplies (like boxes, paper, tape,) They balked at the idea of having to pack some items like the flat screen tv and the pictures on the wall. Come to find out from the long distance carrier, they were never packed. Our antique furniture arrived, scratched, broken; pictures were broken (including frames). Some of our stuff never made it...no one knows where it is. This has been an awful experience...
