Mark, the owner, came and installed our new central air unit himself. First and foremost for me, the workmanship and attention to detail is really good. He communicates and responds to calls, e-mails, and texts very quickly. Even sends a text message notification to let you know when he is on his way. Another reason we chose to go with him is that they installs Bryant which is in the top 2 of Consumer Reports product reliability and customer satisfaction ratings. Practiced good social distancing. Worked with masks on. I wouldn't hesitate to hire McLafferty again to do any HVAC and electrical work we may need in the future.

Worst HVAC company is the area. Dishonest and will end up making issues much work instead of better. Luckily, HSA warranty company is paying for their service, so I only had to pay the 75 dollar service fee. I called to have my top floor issue resolved. The air conditioner was not cooling the top floor of my house, so Mclafferty's came out. When I came home and saw my basement,I was appalled. The doors were thrown off the hinges, the filter was smashed in, and I even had a pipe draining water in the hallway. Plus, the top floor still was not blowing cold air. I called and I scheduled them to come out again. The second time, I came home to a warm house the day after Mclaffertys had come out. The thermostat read 78 degrees. I checked the air panels, and now, no cold air was flowing to my second floor. My entire house is now not cooling. Before I went to bed on Monday, the day the technician came out, the thermostat read 73 degrees. That did not throw up a red flag at the point, and I went to sleep. The next morning, the thermostat read 74. My house is set at 70 degrees, and it never goes above that temperature on that floor. I decided to see what the temperature was when I got home. It was then I noticed it was 78 degrees, and no cold air was blowing. I called, and the first thing I was told was they did not do it. They also had the audacity to tell me that lightening may have hit something to make it not work correctly. They stated it was an intermittent problem, and it must have happened after they left. I explained that this was not working when the guy had left our house, and that I just noticed the issue. Then, I was accused of lying. The person on the phone, I think it was Mark, told me that he could not come out that night. If they had to make an emergency service call, I would have to pay the emergency service fee. When I have service done, If something is messed up by the company performing the service, I expect it to be fixed correctly. Not only could Mclaffertys not do this, they are quick to place the blame on the customer. Ever have a company mess more stuff up then fix it? Well, if you want to use a company like that, call Mclaffertys heating and cooling

Mark McLafferty is my go to guy when it comes to my heating and cooling needs.  Mark answered his phone and immediately
made himself available.  Mark attempted to diagnose the problem VIA phone call free of charge and even told me to send a video of my noisy  furnace.
Mark is an honest person and will NOT try to sell you parts that are not necessary.  He will give you honest suggestions and do what it takes to save you money.

Mark discovered shortly after arriving that our flame sensor was not functioning.  He was here about 15 minutes.  He answered our call directly and was here in about five minutes.  He gave us a reduced charge because he had been in the area, even though the service was on a Saturday after hours. Mark will be in my file to use for all air conditioning and heating issues in the future!!!

We couldn't ask for a better experience with Mark.  Very prompt, efficient, and clean work - we would hire Mark again in for any electrical or HVAC needs.

My furnace would not turn on. I called Mark and he came out promptly, checked my furnace and said the transformer was damaged because of the power surge. (Someone had backed into a telephone pole down the street and the impact caused my electrical ground wire to snap off which produced a power surge that damaged the furnace and appliances.) I will definitely call Mark in the future when I need my furnace serviced.

Mark has been a very helpful and honest from day one. I had him give me an estimate months ago and he provided me tips and advice on installing new ductwork to make my home more efficient. He even ordered me quality ductwork(Since I did not have a corporate account) and I installed it myself. While I was going through the process of doing the ductwork I had a few questions and he took the time and patience to answer the questions I had. When it came time to order the furnace and AC he came to the house again and did a load calculation and determined the correct size furnace/AC for my house. It took him two days to install the furnace and AC. He was very neat and clean, and made sure I was comfortable in the operations of the equipment before he left. A++ JOB for sure!! I honestly feel that Mark took the extra time and effort and did the little things for me as if he was installing a furnace/AC in his own personal home.

Mark is great!!! So glad I found him on Angie's List. We are expecting a high of zero degrees in a few days and I was worried about the lack of heat and my water pipes. He came out on a Sunday night to fix my furnace.

I was very impressed that he had the replacement part I needed on his truck. He kept me informed about everything he did. He was extremely considerate of my cats - especially the one who likes to sneak outside when he can.

I would highly recommend Mark to everyone!

We will without a doubt be using him in the future. We are doing a remodel of our house and will require updating our current heating and AC system and Mark will be doing that for us.
For someone to provide this level of professional service late at night is greatly appreciated.

Our old 20 year old A/C unit kept losing Freon so we had to replace it. Mark answered all our questions thoroughly and got a discount because the A/C unit came in later than expected and he passed the discount on to us. He was prompt and did exactly what he said he would do. He is a very nice man to have working in your house, the cleanup was excellent as well. He has his own business and does all the work personally with the exception of a helper which in our case was his dad. The price mentioned included everything. We had a great experience with him and will call him for all our heating and A/C needs in the future.

Mark was extremely conscientious and installed everything perfectly. He was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. He even disposed of a bees nest that was attached to our unit!
