Eric was last on site in September of 2017, and before those three days was on site in March of 2017 for three days, with the condition that the review would be updated to reflect his efforts to remedy the situation. This experience has resulted in consistent arguing about “no shows” and the amount of money invested in supplies that cannot be returned due being purchased over a year ago: Black Vessel Sink $90 Cabinet to customize $20 Plywood $50 (Eric told homeowner to cut it out and he would purchase it due to his no showing- he has still yet to collect it or pay for it) Faucet $90 Tile $100 Cement $40 Trim $80 Outlets $30 Additionally, Eric damaged the dry wall when attempting to install the plywood and it requires repair. Despite dozens of no shows and false promises to reimburse for supplies, Eric has yet to do either. Please note, none of this experience is about my opinion, it is a timeline of what still hasn’t been complete besides attempts to create a contract, offer extended time, and pay more to complete the jobs. At this point I am requesting (which Eric previously agreed to) Eric purchasing the remaining supplies so that I can work with a new contractor who can customize it in their own way. The original review was first posted in May 2017 and is being updated to reflect the lack of a solution provided by the business. Homeowner has begun seeking mediation but the company has not complied.

With consultation of the contractor a sink was purchased and delivered January 12, 2017. While exploring the scope of the job he removed ceiling tiles, broke open the drywall behind the washer and dryer, and changed piping in the drain. Tile in the kitchen was completed October 1, 2016 and the kitchen still does not have floor/cabinet trim that was supposed to be provided by the contractor in the original agreement. Since March 4, 2017 the project has remained untouched. He arrived for three days several months ago and did very minimal work. Baseboard remains unfinished, the sink is not hooked up/usable, there is no counter top, no cabinet and several large holes in the drywall remain. The tile on the floor is also not finished, areas needing small cuts were left. Additionally, several ceiling tiles were removed and are now damaged for being placed on the floor that floods daily from the piping he changed. Contractor has been contacted daily for the last several months hoping to obtain a solution with consistent false promise start dates. Contractor does not show even when he insists and is adamant about coming that day. As previously mentioned he arrived for three consistent days a couple months ago but was on his phone and distracted the majority of the time and made little progress. Several tools remain on site and significant effort has been made for him to collect them.

On the roofing job, he left our roof, with tar paper only for 3 months. The roof vent was never finished and when the new contractor went up to finish it, he found a t-shirt stuffed into the opening between the plywood. When he tore the shingles and tar paper off the porch roof, he also left that exposed for several weeks which resulted in furniture cushions getting soaked in the rain. Jobs that were quoted to take a certain amount of time  (ex. 1 week) were still in unfinished states sometimes months later.

At this point, I have filed a complaint with the district magistrate to try and get the remainder of our deposit back.

He is a good guy. He has installed some hardwood flooring, ceramic tiling, and done some other odd jobs for us. The work he does is beautiful and precise. He will be able to do anything for you. He has a great personality, and is very respectful. The only downside would be that he gets distracted. He did a great job laying our hardwood floors, but never finished putting our molding and thresholds back up. So he does a great job, but doesn't complete it. He will tell you he's coming over, but gets held up elsewhere and never shows up. He always tells you why, but it can be aggravating. He is very honest and reasonable in pay.
