So very odd, he returned 1st call within hours and scheduled visit for several days later. He was on time for the appointment and spent about an hour checking out the main job and several other jobs I was interested in having done now or in the near future. He made several excellent recommendations as to what was and was not needed and what he would do. I told him that I did have several other estimates scheduled, but I liked him and had seen work he had done for a friend and felt comfortable working with someone who had recommendations from someone I knew personally vs nameless unknown online reviews. He was to get back with an estimate in about a week. 2 weeks went by.. so I called and left a message. Few more days went by. I must have left 6 or 7 messages over the next several weeks, and the friend who had used him in the past even called for me to see what was up. NO messages returned. NO estimate. Given the unreliability and unprofessional manner and lack of courtesy in just an estimate, I would not feel comfortable in hiring him. If he cannot finish an estimate or even return a call to say he doesn't want the job, how could he be counted on to complete a job. What if he got halfway through the job and didn't feel like finishing it. Then never returned your calls. Scary.
