Better than expected. Would recommend them to anyone!!

I contacted one company who gave me an estimate over $1,000. Then, we called Giel. His response was immediate. He gave us an estimate for a new opener, installed it and now it runs smoothly and quietly.

Went very well. I wanted to add a few touches and Gerry was cognizant of the costs and made sure I knew what I was asking for.

We had a garage door opener that quit working after many years of service.  Have had previous experience with the business so it was a no brainer to have them install a new opener.  Called them late yesterday morning knowing it was too late for service that day.  They were here at 8 am and in a little over one hour had the opener in place and operational.  The business owners and the servicemen are responsive, professional and provide great service for a reasonable fee.  Would strongly recommend them for garage doors, openers and entrance doors as well.

I came across this company at the home and garden show. I called later that week to schedule a estimate. This was the second company out of seven I contacted to provide a bid on replacing two garage doors. The bid was the lowest by $300 but I choose another company, here's why. Out of the 5 bids I received 4 of them measured my garage doors at 78 X 96. Giel measured it at 72 X 96. He gave me this big speech about why he needed to reframe my doors because of low headroom. Because of that I was going to lose 6 inches of Clarence at the entrance to my garage. I mentioned this to the rest of the companies that came out and they all said I just needed a double track and no framing was needed. Just guessing but he probably got stuck with 2 custom doors and tried to dump them off on me. Read his other reviews and look how often people say he did framing work for them.

Showed up on time to estimate.  His price was $900 less than two other estimates for same premium quality doors.  Scheduled install date the following week.  Installer showed up on time, did the work, hauled away our very old garage doors, cleaned up.  Professional from start to finish.

Very high quality doors for a great price.  They came to my home directly with samples and advice on what type of door would work for the house and at the price we were aiming to spend.
 I picked out the doors and they were able to come and install within a couple days. 
The front office and the installers were top notch and professional.  Willing to listen and deliver.

Gerry was extremely responsive and professional.  I contacted several other companies and the prices were outrageous.  Some of the companies said they were going to send out guys to do an estimate and never got back to me.  I live in another state and Jerry worked with me to get the job done.  It took them two days. His guys came and did what they were supposed to my specifications. It happened faster than I expected and the work was impeccable. 
Any other work I need for that I called him back but he does not do that work , but he gave me an recommendation.

I actually found him at a home and garden show. They had to take down my wooden bi-fold  garage doors and framed in the door and installed  a 15 foot automatic garage door. They took out things from the garage that were in the way, that I didn't expect them to do. That was nice. They were very professional and gave me all my warranty and paper work before they left. They explained everything about the door and how it worked and how to adjust it, everything I needed to know. They were in and out in 1 day. They did a really good job.

It went so smooth with no problems even though I have very odd size garage doors and they had to build a little bit of the frame up for me.....at no extra cost.    Colors match perfectly .

Somebody in the neighborhood recommended them. The price was reasonable. I would probably use them again.

My experience was great. When the time does come to replace the motor or gear kit I will certainly call them back. I feel if they say I need something, they have proven that are telling the truth by virtue of the fact they didn't try to sell me something I didn't need but thought I did.

On September 26 at 1PM Jason showed up to take measurements and write up all the information on the doors and hardware which I previously selected. He said it would take approximately 3 days to receive pricing from the company he buys the doors from and will at that time call with the price and we could decide at that time if we would move forward or not.
It is now 24 days later, yes over 3 weeks, and still no information on the price, no return calls from the company.
Horrible service and no way to treat a customer about to buy three, fairly, expensive doors.

On 14 Jul 2010 I was taking bids to replace a garage door. Another contractor was on site when Gerald Giel show up. He was a half hour early for our appointment but was so mad that I had another company giving a bid that he sucker punched me in the back of the head. After using foul language and threatening me and the contractor on site, he got in his truck and drove away.
I contacted the police and Gerald Giel was arrested. In court he was found guilty of Simple Assault and Harrassment. He was ordered by the court to 1 year ARD; cost and fees and ordered to complete anger management counseling. Date of hearing was 24 Aug 2011. I will supply The court Docket Number if needed.

I was very pleased with their work and I had no problems with them. They came out pretty quickly and brought a lot of samples of different garage doors. The owner really gave me his honest opinion about what I required. He did not try to push something on me that I didn't need and gave me good advice on what door I should put in. I will use them again in the future if necessary. 

He was very nice but we decided to go with another company. We felt we would get more for our money with the other group. But this gentleman was very upfront and honest and has a lot of good feedback on your list and the better business bureau.

They did excellent work, installed and cleaned up everything in half a day, were pleasant to work with and didn't nickel and dime us for every detail. Gerry did our estimate and was just a little cheaper then two other big name companies we talked to. He was excellent in returning our calls and keeping in touch while we waited for our doors to show up. That was the only problem though, that the choice of door we picked wasn't a popular style, so we had to wait almost two months for them to ship, but as I mentioned, Gerry did make an effort to contact the supplier and keep in touch with us about when our doors would show up.
