About us
I am a 1 person operation. The person that you talk to on the phone is the person who shows up your door. I treat people the way i want to be treated, and that's with respect and honesty. My fees are $90 for the service call, plus parts and labor. I never use a subcontractor, but sometimes i have a helper (my son). I am open on Saturday for emergency calls only (REFRIGERATOR NOT WORKING). Saturday calls are $120 service call.

Duane from DMG Appliance Repair saved the day! Our refrigerator stopped cooling, and when we called the store where we bought it, they couldn't get to us for two weeks. But I remembered Duane, who had repaired our dryer a few years back, and gave him a call. He called me back within a few hours and was at our house the same day. He quickly diagnosed the issue, ordered the part, and fixed our fridge. Duane is professional, kind, and timely—I can't recommend him enough!

Our Samsung gas dryer stopped working. He was at our home within 2 hours of our phone call. He very quickly found the problem and was able to get us up and running for a very reasonable price. We will absolutely be using him for all of our future repairs.

We have an LG refrigerator less than three years old that stopped cooling in January 2024. Duane came and confirmed that the linear compressor was not working. LG's so-called "customer service" was contacted several times about warranty service and replacement parts, generally with less than satisfactory results. Duane persevered through all of this, just as frustrated with LG as we were. LG finally sent the replacement parts, which Duane and his son promptly installed.

You wrote a review for DMG Appliance Repair One minute ago 1.0 star rating 8/10/2020 I needed a 5/16" ice maker water line (leaking) replaced. Duane came & spliced the line with a 2 ft piece of line and a 5/16 " staight connector for tubing. Charged me 95.00 service call 40.00 for a 2ft piece of hose and a 6.00 connector Repair time 5 minutes...total. It leaked in a week so I called him back. A week later he shows up and puts another straight connector on (took him a week to get this one). "Hello [Member Name Removed]. I'm sorry your experience with me didn't go as well as everyone else's. I've spliced those water lines dozens of times with no issues. It did take a week for the connectors to come in, BTW, the same connectors that LG uses on the fridge from the factory. Since almost nothing is made in the USA and we're in the midst of a pandemic, the items that come from China take longer than they normally do. I tried to go around the normal wait by going to home depot and lowes but they didn't have it either so i had to go through ebay and get it. Even when you called and yelled "WHERE'S MY PART" as your greeting i was professional and courteous. When i came to replace the part that you told me was bad, your wife and i both saw that it wasn't my part that was bad. You told me you could order the whole line yourself and i said your welcome to. You then asked me how much i would charge you to put it in and i told you at this point i just wanted you to be happy and would install it at no charge. You called me YESTERDAY and left me a message that you'd received the part and this morning i see this review. I don't deserve this review but i followed the manufactures own procedure. Have a great day. BTW i left the water line with you becuase i told you that you'd paid for it so it was yours."

Dwane was very personable,and very knowledgeable. Showed up a couple of hours after i called assessed the problem ordered the parts. Unfortunately the part was out of stock so we had to wait two days for the part to arrive but was called immediately and came out an hour later to make the repair. Even got a follow up call a few hours later to see if things were working as they should. I would call Dwane back in a heartbeat.

Dwayne called when he knew he would be 15 minutes late because of construction on the road from Butler to Zelienople. When he arrived, he went right to work, diagnosed the problem and promptly repaired it. He knew exactly how to fix the problem. He is friendly and gregarious. Very professional.

Duane was at the house the day following my initial call. We had talked about the problem so he brought along the part that he needed to replace. I watched him perform the work and learned a lot about my refrigerator. When I first had the problem I didn’t know if I should try and repair or simply buy a new refrigerator. I am very glad I did the repair and I would go back to Duane for any future appliance repair needs I may have.

I called Duane after I read all his great reviews. He responded immediately and showed up for our appointment promptly. He replaced the ice maker, however, it still didn't work. He offered to refund the cost of the part, but wanted to look into the problem further. After much thorough digging, he found an obscure possible cause and returned to check it. He immediately found the severed wire in the freezer door wiring bundle (very poor door design) and repaired it at no charge. Duane was polite, prompt, efficient, and thorough. I will call him for all my future appliance repair needs!

. Duane came within 2 days of my call to him. He did not stretch the time he spent to get more money. Went right to work. Our computer in the washer was bad, probably due to power surge, our washer is older, part not available. Someone else could've tried to repair it charge us for nothing. Duane is very honest and polite, Highly recommend him. Even told me to call him with any questions in future, and I already did! He answered all I needed to know.

Called Duane Thursday afternoon and he was here Friday morning. Found the issue right away. Did not have the part with him so called his supplier to see if they had it in stock. They did so he went to get it and came back to complete the repair. Very punctual and very personable, like working with a friend! Cost was very fair. I highly recommend him and in fact now have a 2nd job I am going to have him do.

I called Duane, and asked him if he repaired LG washing machines- as a lot of others do not. He said yes, and when i explained to him over the phone what was wrong with the machine (what it was doing), he knew immediately what needed to be replaced without even looking at the machine. He ordered the replacement part the Monday before Thanksgiving, and called me Tuesday afternoon that it was in, and he could be there around 330pm that day. He arrived on time, and had the machine fixed in a half-hour at most. He was very professional, and completely cleaned up after fixing the washer. I would definitely hire him again.

called Duane, he himself called me back and got some information on the dishwasher- he actually had a couple of idea what it could be but wanted to verify it first. we set an appointment- he called me before he was scheduled to be here and let me know he was on his way and showed up exactly on time. He felt it could be the same 2 items he originally thought it would be - the machine is 8 years old. I deferred to his best estimate since he was the "pro" options were the keypad or the circuit board. he thought the keypad was our best/least expensive option. he let me know that if it wasn't the keypad he could not return the part since it was electrical. I understood completely- we talked over the best option an went with that. the part was on back order so it took more than a week to come which had nothing to do with him. our conversations were pleasant ,cordial and friendly. we texted about the part several times during the week I felt confident in what he was saying. when the part came in he came out the next day and installed it his pricing is extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend him! he was like dealing with a friend you could trust!

Called and spoke with Duane Very responsive and very nice. I explained my issue. Ice machine not making or dispensing ice. He came out that day. Diagnosed as bad optic sensor and need new auger motor. Will take a week or so to get parts. I had no issues with this. He called back a day later sailing that he did some investigation and said he didn’t think it was optics but bad ice maker. Ok no issue thanks for the update. Parts cane in a week or so later and he promptly cane out to install. Both parts installed and neither issue was fixed. Since the parts were installed they could not be returned. I was refunded my service call fee of 90 but was stuck paying for labor and parts to a tune of 170 for two misdiagnosed issues. I could have thrown parts at it myself but wanted to not waste money so I hired a professional. Unfortunately it did not work so well for me. really nice guy and was good to deal with but unfortunately was unable to address my issue.

The items i installed were the least expensive of the possible items that could have been the cause of the problem ( Control board, Display board assembly). And i couldn't return them as stated because once any electrical part is installed it can't be returned. As we found out your problem is deeper than we thought because the control board doesn't even think there is a problem."

Washer stopped working. Used Angie’s list. Found someone with good rating relatively close by. Duane answered the phone himself and made an appt for the next day. Even thought he might have the part. Arrived on time (maybe even a couple minutes early) and got right to work. Turned out the part wasn’t right but he moved everything back and reconnected the dryer so we could use it. He ordered the part and was back a few days later. Washer works like new. He was punctual friendly knew what he was doing and cleaned up afterwards.
