This is one of the worst contractor jobs I have ever experienced. What should have been a two or three day roofing job at the most took almost a month to complete. Even though they brought their equipment to the site soon after I paid the deposit, the work wasn't started for several days. When someone did show up, it was only one or two people who didn't stay for very long and very little got done. I would have to call the owner, Dave, numerous times to ask why no one was showing up for days at a time. When someone did show up, it was always someone different. It became obvious that their was no actual crew and that he was hiring anyone of the street who would work for the day. Kids on bicycles even showed up to do the work numerous times. There were several days when it rained which understandably would delay the work, but most days when it was sunny no one showed up to work then either. When it did rain, they had not secured the work site and water leaked into the house on two separate occasions. I had to apologize to several neighbors when they complained about debris everywhere and lewd behavior form the workers. I had to call this guy dozens of times, completely frustrated by one problem or another. I could not wait for the job to be finished. A month later, when we had a heavy rain, water poured into our house and damaged the ceilings in two different rooms. I had to hire another roofing contractor to fix the leaks before my house was flooded, only to learn that their were gaping holes around the chimney flashing, which was not replaced. The old flashing was just bent up and hammered against the chimney without any caulking or repair of any kind.
Obviously I would not recommend this company to do work at any cost. They were one of the least expensive bids I received and I guess I learned the hard way that you do indeed "get what you pay for". BUYER BEWARE!
"This job was an architectural nightmare, very hard to bid on.The job took longer than I estimated and I had other jobs going on at the same time so I could not give the homeowner 100% of my time, but in the end all issues were resolved and he recieved a very high quality roof at a very good price."
"This homeowner took over 2 months to give me the go-ahead to do his roof and in the meantime I had other jobs come in. I schedule my work as it comes in unless it is an emergency. This homeowner did not have an emergency. We did have a small leak at a skylight, a very rare occerance for my co, and it was taken care of within 2 hours of him reporting it. the member got a very high quality roof done right the first time and has not had an issue since it was finished."
