Very good overall. One dimension missed. Let them use their laser measuring tool, which wasn't possible in our case.

We had a very good experience using Custom Marble and Granite for our kitchen counter and can recommend them highly. We wanted soapstone for a historic home renovation, and found out that Custom buys theirs from the only operating soapstone quarry left in America. The installation went very well, and the seam is invisible. We have a slide-in range that required a thin area of soapstone to remain visible behind it and the cutting was perfect to the template. The kitchen sink is an undermount so the fabrication was important there, too, and again, the cut was perfect. We have been using the counters for over a year now, and I wouldn't hesitate to use this husband and wife owned company again.

"Thank you very much [member name removed]. I appreciate your kind words and I am very happy that you are happy with our product and service. We will offer all customers the same service and quality. The American Soapstone is very limited now as the quarry has been sold to. Canadian company who takes the stone to Canada. You were the last the truck load from the fully American owned and operated soapstone quarry. Again thank you for taking the time to post your review, we appreciate it. If you ever need us, we will be here!"

Overall fairly good experience. Good selection of slabs to choose from. Unfortunately, there were several communication issues that arose throughout that slowed the process and were at times, frustrating. Sam was excellent during the whole process. After the prices were I stalled, I noticed two cracks/fractures in similar places on different vanities; and after some discussion, they agreed to replace both cracked pieces. The remodel turned out great and our vanities were a big part of that.

Called Custom Marble and Granite after having negative experiences with two other granite/marble fabricators.  Their responsiveness was excellent every time we contacted them, something I've really come to appreciate.  The installation was great - in the master bath, they took their time getting exact measurements prior to fabrication, including taking a sink with them to ensure the hole was cut properly.   At the time of installation, we noticed a small chip in the marble and they fixed it immediately.  They initially weren't sure if they could do the basement reinstallation, since they hadn't done the original fabrication (I appreciated their honesty on that point), but, after seeing it, were able to do it.   The basement granite looks good and our master bath pieces (especially the vanity) are lovely.  I would use them again and recommend them.

We picked and paid for the granite in February while we were designing our kitchen.  Our work was not done until May when the installer was ready and we had to work around several contractors.   The kitchen looks fabulous.   We had a few small flaws that were not notice don installation and Jeanne set up appointments that were great for our schedule to fix them - the repairs are great and no one could ever tell that there was a small repair done.

Custom Marble and Granite helped us select a counter top for our kitchen.  They were very patient and helpful and provided a lot of information on what would be appropriate.  They invited us to their facility and showed us various granite patterns from which to choose.
The installation went very well.  There were on time and there were no problems.  The installers spoke to us about the installation and what they were doing as they installed each section.
The countertop looks great and is a great match to our kitchen and kitchen cabinets.

From start to finish, communications and professionalism were excellent.  Final installation, templating, and guidance by the contractors were all excellent.

This is a local, family-owned business. After visiting four other stone slab galleries (and previously purchasing from two), I was most comfortable and very impressed with this knowledgeable and customer-service oriented husband and wife team. Jean "held my hand" through the entire process and was extremely patient with me while I stopped by time and time again. Jean's husband, Lester, is the fabricator/installer with many years of experience and know-how. While I was working with them they had attended two trade shows, and I learned that they are highly regarded within their industry. The entire process from start to finish went very smoothly. They are true professionals and a pleasure to work with. I will definitely purchase from them again for any potential future projects.

My wife and I went to at least 7 different vendors and installers for granite countertops. Jean was the most helpful in finding a good selection. She even pointed out a special granite countertop that was becoming rare, but still provided us with a great price. Of all the places we visited, they had the best selection and pricing. Installation was handled by her husband and team, so we knew they would do an excellent job. You could really tell they took pride in their work. The product was perfect and we couldn't be happier. And also a big thanks for installing the kitchen faucet for us. If we ever have a need for more granite, I would definitely contact them. If my family lived in the area, I would have them purchase from Custom.

We selected an exotic high end granite. This granite was very difficult to work with as the sides would have to be treated with chemicals to match the process that was done at the quarry. The stoneyard where this was purchased never communicated this to us or we would have chosen a different stone. This only became known when CM&G cut the pieces for our kitchen. Custom Marble and Granite researched what needed to be done and painstakingly worked with the granite until it was perfect. They then installed the countertops. The seams are perfect and they got very close to our uneven walls (important as we didn't do a granite backsplash and tile can only cover so much). The end result is the countertops are absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't be more pleased. Jean and Les are a pleasure to work with and we plan on having them do our bathrooms in the future!

Once they left, I showed my general contractor some joints that were not sealed enough and left some gaps. I found they used the same color and material granite on the backsplash, but they informed they would have two pieces on the back splash. They even told me they made some wrong measurements and they had three cuts instead of two, as planned. I called them about this, but I never heard back about. I never received an apology or discount for. It would have been nice for them to at least follow up with me. I am not happy with the company or their work. I expected a phone call to apologize for the mistake, but I never heard anything. This shows me they are not careful or very responsive.
