We used Wayne Lapp last year to finish our basement. He was amazing. He is another straight shooter. He uses some sub contractors, but he will tell you upfront that he will vouch for this guy. If he hasn’t worked with a guy too much, he will say I can’t vouch for him. He was also very particular and went out of his way to show us were he wanted to add some tunnels to access pipes, and I think other people wouldn’t have pointed those things out. He was also able to design our basement and configure it so that it would be a usable space. I don’t know if he does water proofing. He did most of the framing. He acted as a general contractor and he framed the whole basement. We worked with him last winter; we started the work in February 2011. We paid $30,000, but for flooring and plumbing we paid separately. We had prices from some of the bigger names around the town, but they were way over what he charged. His quality of work was amazing. He is a Mennonite; they just do a good work.
