Yocum Shutters and Blinds

It did not go well at all with Yocum.  I called a dealer that handled the brand of blinds.  What a difference!  The person couldn't be more professional.  He came to my home on a Sunday and repaired the blinds.  If the blinds could not be repaired, I was going to place an order.  Why did I waste so much time calling Yocum?  What a waste of effort.   

That service worked out great. The blinds were installed perfectly. We love them. Everything was perfect. I do not think that there were any worst parts. Everything went very smoothly. The best part was the personalized service we got from them. They came out, looked at the house, measured things, showed us samples, and told us when they would be able to show up to install things. They were right on-time, installed things in a very reasonable period of time, and did a nice clean job. There were no extra charges other than the big deal. The price was expensive, but we knew it was going to be expensive.

We live in South Jersey and the installer (Kimzy) is located in Phoenixville, PA. So he traveled a distance to get to me Kimzy is very personable, professional and down to earth. He measured the windows, worked with me to choose the right color and style and when the shutters came, he and his son installed them. Excellent fit! You will not be sorry if you give Yocum Shutters and Blinds a call!

.Overall, it was weird. Mr. Yocum refused to do business with me even though I was prepared to spend approximately 2000.00. After the installer had done the measurements, Mr Yocum called with a quote. I asked him to email it to me so I could have it in writing and study it. The proposal in the email had no specifics--3 windows, front room 375.00, for example. I asked Mr. Yocum to specify the location and measurements of each window along with the price for that window. He said that was against his policy. At that point, I rudely hanged up on him. He called me back and said some insulting words about how I had taken advantage of him and was a terrible customer. I called him a few choice names and that was that. However, thinking I'd been rash, I called him back and said, okay--I don't need the specifics, go ahead with the job. At this point he said he first had to explain his policy. I said I wasn't interested in the policy, I just wanted him to do the work. He refused to take my business.
