We went with a higher quality carpeting, so the cost was a little higher. Everything was done as expected. The carpet is holding up and the installers did a good job.

I purchased my first home in December 2012 that had carpet throughout the first floor living room and old tile in the kitchen. I hired Carpet One to install hardwood and replace the carpet/tile at the end of February 2013. There were not any issues until after the floor had been installed. Immediately after the installation, I noticed boards that were not flush and level, scratches, and chips. After a few phone calls, a week later somebody came and finished the job correctly. The major issue started mid summer when all the boards in the middle of the floor began to buckle. The floor did not have room to expand with the heat and pushed the molding away from the wall along the floor. Again, several calls to the company and a representative came to the house to inspect for moisture. After finding out moisture was not an issue, they agreed to replace the damaged boards. When it was time to show up for the appointment, nobody ever came that day. When the workers finally showed up i was left with a hole in a wall, two floor boards that do not match, nail holes in other boards that had to be pulled up and put back down, molding that was never fixed and sawdust covering my entire kitchen. I am completely disgusted in the work that Carpet One did in my home. Again, I called the company to rightfully complain about the work that was done. I asked that the manager come to my house to see the unprofessional work that was done. He visited two weeks ago and I am still waiting for a response on what they will do to repair the floor and wall. It is unfortunate that now they have my money and the job seems to no longer be a priority. I am planning on finishing the rest of the house with hardwood but will be looking elsewhere for the job.

With the exception of outdoor carpeting everything went reasonably well but the outdoor carpeting required three trips and some rejected material so that it took approximately a month longer than it should.

We have used them many times in the past twenty years. They are great. They are very accommodating. It just is very convenient and they are very helpful. The price is reasonable. I would use them again in the future; in fact, I am picking up my carpets that I ordered from them tomorrow.

We went to the show room and were looking around as soon as the salesman, Paul, finished up with his customer he came over and asked us if we needed help. He explained the various types of carpeting they had and how it was laid out in the show room. We were looking at a really high end carpet when Paul asked us what rooms we needed carpeting for. We explained that we were looking for bedroom carpeting. He told us that the carpeting we were looking at was very nice, but he thought it was too expensive for a bedroom (it was more for high traffic areas like living rooms). He showed us the carpet styles he'd recommend and left us alone to discuss. He was not the least bit pushy. We selected the carpet and started filling out the paperwork when he informed us if we go online we could print a coupon for $100 off. A few days later they sent out a gentleman to measure our rooms and provided us a quote that afternoon. Once we signed the agreement, it took about 2 weeks until installation. The installers were about 1.5 hours behind schedule but we did get a call to tell us they would be late. They were very polite, but if my wife or child had been home, the language they used would not have been appropriate. However, I'm chalking it up to the fact that I was home alone. They did an excellent job moving the furniture, installation and clean up. They even made sure to protect our new hardwood floors. Overall I was very pleased with their work and would recommend them.

Dave Sulkin the sales manager came to our home, showed us floor samples and took some measurements. We then went to the showroom, made our selections but it took almost 3 weeks for delivery. A crew of 3 men worked on the house for three days until the job was complete.They showed up late everyday but did a good job overall. One problem was when they moved the toilet in the bathroom a bolt snapped and a plumber had to be called to repair it, but the company said they would reimburse us for the expense.

Stephanie at the store in Ardmore was extremely knowledgable, showed us all alternatives and prices, and helpful. Carpet installers showed up on time, were very professional, and did an excellent job including moving and replacing furniture

Mark, the salesperson, was helpful initially. He told me that the flooring for the basement was waterproof and that I shouldn't have a problem if I had water down there. Well, after we did have some water issues, Mark told me that everything would be fine. Then, when he found out he was wrong, he completely threw me under the bus and reported the incident to the manufacturer, effectively voiding my warranty. He even sent me a personal (rather threatening and officious) legal letter telling me that the warranty was voided. It seemed he was very concerned about covering his behind and less concerned about his professional reputation and just helping me out as a consumer. He was also very unavailable during some installation issues and did not return my calls. It seems that if you have an easy matter, they might be a good place to go. Adam, the area rug expert, is very professional/nice, however. I would think twice about going to this company.

We had an excellent experience with Norman's. We replaced some very old and dirty carpeting in our basement and pool house, as well as had vinyl wood flooring put into two small bathrooms. Dave Salkin, the sales person, came out to do the estimate and was very friendly and helpful in selecting appropriate carpeting and tile (both in the first visit and in subsequent visits to the store). We had to wait a couple of weeks for the carpet to be ordered and installed, but that was made clear up front. The carpet installation took one day, and the three guys who did the job were very skilled, friendly, and worked a long day. The wood flooring was supposed to be done on the same day, but they discovered that the sub-flooring in one of the bathrooms had to be fixed before the new tile could be installed. They did not have the correct equipment to do that, so a different crew came out the next morning and did the vinyl wood flooring. They did a great job, too (and it took more than half a day, so there was no way that could have been done on the same day as the carpeting anyway). The job took longer than Norman's originally estimated because of the sub-flooring, but to Norman's credit, they did not try to charge extra for the additional labor. The results are terrific, and we are very happy to recommend them.

Sales people very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Bought great carpet at huge discount, especially when compared to other carpet stores. Installers were neat, pleasant and extremely skillful (had tough stair installation they handled great!) Altogether positive experience. Will definitely use for future purchases.

They were willing to work with us and reduce the price, and they sent a fabulous crew of craftsmen who really did an excellent job. They were young and exceptional, and were very smart and in control of what they were doing. They gave us better padding too.

I selected the vinyl and asked for an estimate. I was provided an estimate based on the use of a skim coat below the new flooring. When the intallers showed up, they refused to put a skim coat down because it would only "bubble up" a few weeks later - and they would not allow that to happen. I went through a series of frantic calls - including one where I was told the new work would cost an additional 700 dollars more than 1/2 the original price When I asked how this could be happening - I was told such "things happened." /The real difference was $200. The installers were great - capable, meticulous in their work - the process stunk and I'd never suggset this company.
