Since 1977, Wm. Henderson Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Inc. has been providing quality plumbing, heating and cooling service throughout Delaware County and the Main Line. With a fleet of fully-stocked vehicles dispatched from our Broomall headquarters, we strive to provide our customers with prompt, professional service in the plumbing, heating and cooling fields. Wm. Repair Service to Fix Gas Boiler - WM Henderson first sends out a tech who is not familiar with gas boilers and admits there is an issue but does not know how to diagnose it. I had to pay $89 for this. Instead of having the right person come out, I had to to actively call again to get someone else to come out. The 2nd tech diagnosed the issue, but wants to charge me the same $89 that I already paid. - and quotes me $380 for the repair - and has to order the part. I agree and then call back the next day to confirm part is on order - and they tell me the charge is $1,015. I asked to speak to a manager to discuss, and no one is available and no one calls me back. I bought the replacement part from a supply where house (confirming it works with my make/model of boiler) and it cost me $165. I have had other scheduling issues with them as well. Don't use them!!!!!!!!

Henderson Heating and Plumbing installed a new heat pump over the last two days. The entire process went exactly as expected and Henderson even replaced an outside line that another contractor kept insisting didn’t need to be replaced. Dalton and Brian came exactly on time worked nonstop and left my house spotless. A 10 out of 10.

This company is a joke! Negative satr rating if I can rate it! Back in January 2022, my furnace blower died and stopped working. I called multiple heating companies to check it out and WM Henderson is one of the few together with Horizon heating. When they (WM Henderson) diagnosed the issue and informed me what was wrong. I called York the manufacturer of my heating system and told me I purchased an extended warranty that covers parts and labor which Horizon is covering 100% but since WM Henderson was at my place earlier 8 -12 and Horizon was scheduled 12 to 4 pm. I told the the guy from WM HENDERRSON that if they will honor extended warranty parts and labor, I will let them do the job and he called his manager if they can do it and was verified to him then they told me no cost for me to fix the furnace and will honor the warranty and came another day and fixed it. Okay no problem and usual transaction occurred. Now, sometime in April they called me back and told me it is not covered and I have to pay $2000. I told the customer service that they told me initially that it is covered 100% parts and labor and now I have to pay the full price. The customer service rep told me she will investigate. Today, 5/5/22 I received a call from WM Henderson again and the part is now covered and only need to pay the labor around $1000. I told them again that, from the very beginning Horizon already told me it will be covered 100% and why would I choose WH Henderson knowing I have to pay parts and/or labor to them. Clearly, someone at WM Henderson F*cked up communicating, processing the reimbursement from York and now between the manager, billing and purchasing department are pointing fingers and playing the blame game who was at fault and passing to me (customer) the lost revenue and trying to recoup the money as an easy, quick and unethical solution from their mistake and tried to reverse the initial agreement of 100% coverage parts and labor and 0 cost for me. tsk tsk.. I would not recommend this company!!!

Plumbing emergencies are no fun, but Wm. Henderson was able to help same day, late afternoon on a Friday. The plumber went above and beyond, helping me search for well-hidden vents, explaining the options, answering my questions, and doing an extremely professional job. Highly recommended!

We had a flooded basement because of a leak in our 13 year-old water heater. Someone came out very quickly to take a look and give us an estimate to install a new hot water heater. This included options for different sizes and types. The same afternoon Aaron and another gentleman were at our door with the new hot water heater. They were neat and professional, working within the limited space of an enclosure in our basement that houses the water heater. They removed the old one. Super same-day service at the time of the coronavirus pandemic. My wife and I had a lot of messy cleanup to do from our flooded basement. We are very grateful to Wm. Henderson for completely removing any stress from the hot water heater replacment.

My house had quite new copper piping. I was away during a spell of very cold weather and all the pipes froze. Without consulting me, Henderson replaced all the the copper piping with Pex, although the repairs were covered by my insurance. (In fact they did not consult me about anything.) Now the tap water smells of mildew. If I had been consulted before the work was done I would of course have chosen copper. I am giving them a D not an F because they were prompt.

I was very pleased with Wm Henderson. The salesperson, Ed, was straightforward, recognized quickly that I had a good idea of what I wanted, didn't try any silly presentations or high pressure tactics, and emailed me a quote with 3 options within a couple of days. The quote for the mid-tier system I wanted was the lowest I received, $5k less than my existing HVAC company's quote. Removal of the old system and installation of the new one went amazingly well. Erik and his apprentice Dalton were friendly and professional. Erik was not aware of a couple things Ed had told me could be done around placement, but took it in stride and gave me exactly what I wanted. The work took 2 days and they arrived promptly each day. They warned me when they would be making noise and were generally very quiet. Erik explained everything he was going to do and why. The work area was left cleaner than when they arrived! I can't say enough about how positive this experience was and the new system works great! I used the furnace/humidifier for a month before switching to AC. To top it off, WH sent me a thank you gift 6 weeks after installation and it contained a dozen of some of the best cookies I've ever eaten!

Was supposed to be done in a week, took about 3 months. Crew would show up without the right materials or tools. Replaced some color trim tile with wrong color due to availability instead of giving us a choice over the color. The tiled floor in the shower is bowing for some reason, will probably have to have this replaced again in a few years. Would not hire again.

First of all the plumber arrived way earlier than the appointed time by 40 minutes without prior notification. I had errands and arrived home just as his van pulled into my driveway blocking my way to my house. I had to jump out of my car to ask him to move. That caused me to lose more time in having to move my car before I can let him in the house. Second of all, the man wreaked of cigarette smoke and left a trail of stink wherever he was in my house. Thirdly, the estimate for the job was way beyond what the work would involve $384+ and he tried to sell me a "value rate" of $346 that would actually cost me 30% more because I would be paying minimum $120 for a "maintenance plan" along with the repair. The accepted normal rate for reseating a toilet bowl is $50-$150, compared to this plumber wanting to charge over twice the upper range of normal cost. I ended up just paying him the $65 which would have been included in the repair should I chose to hire him for the job which was simply impossible given the circumstances as mentioned. It actually cost me more than the $65 I paid for the visit because my house stank of the cigarette smoke on his person until I went around spraying and wiping the walls of the hallway and rooms that he passed through. This visit really stinks!!!

System was not performing well in 90+ degree heat. Contacted Henderson (first time contact - dissatisfied with previous service people) and they came next day. Visit preceded by e-mail with name, qualifications and person summary of technician assigned to call. Very reassuring to know something about stranger visiting your home - have not seen this in other service providers. Quickly diagnosed problem, evaluated entire system and replaced wires chewed by rodents. Checked outside units, basement and attic units thoroughly.

Service was great! Came home from vacation to find the upstairs was boiling hot and the AC was not blowing cold air. A quick review of the situation found our unit in the basement was leading water and had condensation on all the pipes. I called Henderson and they had a technician out to us within 30 minutes. Rich was a nice guy and quickly jumped on the situation. He vacuumed up the water, serviced the AC and had things running again like clockwork. With the $40 coupon for Angie's list members, the price was totally reasonable, especially considering emergency service on a Sunday! Isn't that when the breakdowns always happen? He had it fixed in no time. The knobs to turn on the water were so old they broke. He put new ones even on the shower knob so they matched.

Tim needed to come back after a few days to determine the cause of our leak. He diagnosed a crack in our new toilet and then Kevin came back later to install our new toilet. Both were excellent at their job and made our experience the best it could be.

Two technicians showed up on time, started promptly and removed old system. Installed the equipment and took the old equipment away. They returned the next day to complete the installation and went over the equipment and the thermostat programming. When they left, the area was cleaner then before the installation. It was a very professional installation.

It went perfect! He arrived on time and I received a call letting me know he was on the way. The faucet was changed, shut off installed and no mess for me to clean up afterward. I contacted Wm Henderson and another company for estimates for my new furnace installation. Wm Henderson's estimate was more than the other company. I went with Wm. Henderson because of their superior rating and the professionalism they displayed. Their representative Bob came and looked at my furnace and gave me an estimate. He actually lowered the initial price when I told him the other company's estimate. The istallers were very neat and professional with the installation. The one man stayed basically all day. They cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous. The work was completed in 1 day. They removed my old furnace and made sure to bleed all the radiators. I really appreciated that they explained the new parts of the furnace and answered all my questions.
