I will never go anywhere else for help with my roof. As a first time home buyer we knew the condition of our roof wasn’t great and I was very nervous about getting work done. Dom explained absolutely everything step by step and made me feel extremely comfortable about the whole process. He also broke the project down into manageable chunks that made it much easier to budget for. The crew was very quick, efficient, and professional. They left no mess and I can see the difference in the small details around my skylights, flashing and gutters. Not only did they fix my roofing issue, but Dom diagnosed the structural issue that had been causing other cascading problems in the house. Very very happy with the service, several of my neighbors stopped to ask for the name of the company because they were similarly impressed. Cannot recommend them enough.

Dominic was very professional, honest and punctual, I have recommended his services to both friends and family and, I will have no reason to use his services again Dominic was on the job site everyday and watched quality control. I had a very little punch list and with all the work completed by his company that was great He covered all roofing areas with protection and was great on daily cleanup I couldn’t say or express any negative comments He knows his work as I have been in the building business for over 40 years

Dominic gave me full detail proposal of what was going be done. The guys and Dominic was on job from 8:00 am They protected my plants and began work and pick up all debris and ran magnet throughout area picking up any old nails. Finish work by 3:30 pm completely done n clean up. He walk job with me and at end I paid him agreed price plus additional plywood that was needed and unforeseen and he made me aware of it I’m estimate stage and once discovered. Highly recommend Dominic he did exactly what he said he do and more. Very happy

They didn't do the windows, they were working side-by-side with a secondary company. For some reason they had a falling out on my job. I don't know why, but there was a lot of argument between the two companies. I had nothing to do with it. They worked together for 15 years and they were friends and now they're like bitter enemies. I did have a little trouble with the window guys but the roofing guys were good. They're really good. They were punctual and took care of all my needs. They were clean and did the job within the time and stayed within the budget.

This went very well. We did not have any problems. They were on time and it passed inspections. Everything went very well. They were very clean as well. The pricing was excellent. They were less expensive than most.

They did a good job. The roof was good. They cleaned up themselves. He is supposed to be sending a warranty for 15 years and we didn't get it yet. My daughter called and he never called back. They did the work in a timely manner. He told me it would take about two days and they did. The price was fair compared with another roofer who is almost about $1000 more. I would recommend them if we could have warranty. I would use them again if necessary.

The replaced the parts in my roof and did not do anything else. They did not check the attic or anything. It rained heavily and the ceilings had water marks in the same place it was leaking before. I called them and they said my roof was fine. They said they checked it with a laser and it was fine.

The roof is done time will tell regarding the quality. I think they did a bait and switch. They didn't clean up well nails were left in the yard and driveway and I got a flat tire. Finally I'm still waiting on my TV.

Dominic was out to my home within a week of my original phone call.
He sent me a quote within a few days which included a sample of the material he would be using for the repairs.
He explained his work schedule and arrived on the day he promised and completed the repair and replacement in two days.
Now here's the kicker.  The work was performed the week before hurricane Sandy.  I had no problem with the roof but the downspout pulled away from the brick wall.  I called Dominic on Tuesday and he was there on Wednesday to fix the downspout.  There were no questions of whether the problem was hurricane related or not; he simply fixed the problem and went on his way.  I imagine he could have spent his time drumming up new business as a result of the damages caused by Sandy, but he did not. 
I would recommend Dominic Sforza's company to anyone.

Once again Dominic and Roofing Specialties to the rescue.  After Dominic and his team put a new roof on the house I just sold I needed him at the new house to replace gutters and a section of roof.  I cannot emphasize enough what a fair business man he is.  He was always looking for the right amount of work to complete the job properly.  Made many suggestions to keep the cost down but preform the work to needed specifications.  I was always comfortable dealing with him.  Not to mention his prices were great compared to other roofers.  My old neighbor even hired him to do a roof after mine was complete.  That is how impressive his work is.  I am completely satisfied with his work and will continue to use him for all my roof and gutter needs.  I forgot to mention he even sealed my stucco and cleaned it for me.

I just had the most pleasant business experience with Roofing Specialties for the second time. I currently completed a major 3 building 150,000 sq. ft. roof project at a commercial building I own in an industrial center. I have secured 9 bids from roofing contractors, all within the Philadelphia and suburban area. I wanted to be very cautious regarding materials, quality, workmanship and pricing. Pricing was a major concern at first. The quotes from this project ranged from $103,000 to $176,000 much to my surprise. The material that was quoted for this project ranged from EPDM, TPO, SELF ADHEARED and MODIFIED TORCH APPLIED, all different types of rubber roofing. I decidedly chose R/S, let me explain. The owner Dominic came to inspect the roof taking several hours on 2 separate occasions, which was odd I thought originally. Dom explained to me the second day of inspection that he used to review his original take off of the diagram he made along with checking any additional details making sure nothing was missed. Dom gave me the most intensive education regarding the different makes and models of each type of roofing system. I have never dealt with a person with so much passion about his profession. After several conversations, it became evident from his technical knowledge of roofing systems, Dominic discussed he had an engineering background from Temple University. R/S pricing in full was $109,000.00 not the lowest bid but close. R/S did NOT charge me a deposit. I paid the first draw of $36,000.00 when all materials were delivered and 1 day of work was completed with nine men. The balance of the contract was paid the day of completion; I still to this day cannot believe the ethics Dom and R/S upheld. This was refreshing to deal with a company financially stable enough not to require a deposit to buy material, speaks volumes. I own many larger buildings in the Philadelphia and suburban area and I have never been this satisfied with a company and its owner in my entire life. What an honorable company.

Other companies only wanted to replace the whole roof. Dominic was confident that the leak could be repaired without redoing the whole roof and did a great job! Work was done quickly, no additional charges above estimate amount, excellent job of cleaning up, 5 Stars!!!!!

Details of the experience:
Dominic, the contact person and project manager, came out to evaluate three of my flat roofs. Two of them had been visibly leaking an causing inside wall damage.  Dom took time to carefully evaluate the situation and decided to perform a satellite study of water flow on the main roof.  This took some extra time but the weather would not have been appropriate for roof work anyway.
I was surprised to learn that the satellite study showed there was leakage on the main roof as well, which made that necessary to replace.  I had not expected this because another company had completely replaced this roof about 10-12 years ago.  This discovery brought the price up, but knowing the damage that water can do to a building, I decided to trust the recommendation and go with replacing all three roofs.  This turned out to be a wise decision...
The workers were careful, cleaned up daily, and were very polite and pleasant.  To my recollection, they were here consistently every day that the weather permitted roof work.  Much to my surprise, the main roof (which I had originally thought might only need repair) had leaked so much (and apparently for so long) that all the plywood underneath had rotted out.  All new plywood had to be brought up to the third floor of a very tall house.  All this was done with meticulous care. While I am sure readers will recognize that this was an outlay of a great deal of money, I will remind everyone that you do get what you pay for. The experience was a good one as I truly believe I g i continue to trust that Dom and Roofing Specialties will stand by their work and I am very grateful to Angie's List for having found them.  i will use them again and would definitely recommend to friends or family.

It was an overall good experience.  Their service was good and their work was of high quality.  Mike seemed very knowledgeable.

They did an amazing job from the initial phone call through the actual work.  Mike Grant was a pleasure to work with...extremely thorough, explained everything that needed to be done, very responsive to phone calls and questions.  The re-did the entire back of my house in one day from start to finish and you almost wouldn't have known they were there it was so clean when they left.  Would definitely recommend and/or use again.  Their price may be a bit higher than some but I felt it was worth it.
